I understand the stigma (hairs) dies off after a while and turn red, but im at around week 4 and the buds are ain't really filling out much while hairs seem to be receeding. I am aware they continue to produce new sets of hairs throughout the flowering phase, but it just doesn't seem right to me. i haven't had plants do this before. Thanks in advance for any advice and help.

I'm not sure, I'll give your thread a bump to maybe get some opinions.
I agree with you that it is not normal for your pistils to be shriveling up this early in flower.
I think you have a bug problem.

Could it be an early form of a mold or rot? There looks to be some minor PM on some of the fan leaves here and there.

The pistils sort of look similar to how buds look when bud rot occurs? I could be completely wrong, just throwing some ideas out there.

I think the problem may be found, little grubs have been wriggling out of the tips when I noticed webbing on some of the tips. I suspect it has something to do with the problem at hand. I've gone around and got out all the grubs I've noticed. I'll keep updating the progress. It could be just bad genticts. It's supposed to be a liberty haze and I've grown bag seed that's produced far superior weed. Thinking it's not mould or anything of that type.

Those hairs may be damaged because wind is dragging a leaf back and forth over it
I did pull out some kind of worm that made webbing inside the head. I'm assuming that's what caused it. But apparently cerian phenotypes of liberty haze can be very fickle as well.

Isnt it on the whole lower plant if so then how could the wind be doing the same thing to the lower part of the plant to a lot of bud sites.
Yeah if its widespread its probably not that.

But damn that thing has some long fingers and every pic i see a leaf perfect for rubbing.

I've never seen pistils die back from a leaf rubbing on them or handling them. All over the whole bud? I hardly think so. Either they got some weird Aussie bugs down there or it's pollinated. Put some twist ties around the stems below the weird ones and see if seeds show up there a few weeks later.
