Does that warrant a search of his home at 6:45 a.m.? They siezed computers and his camera and prevented his mother from going to work. He is facing 5 years in prison for illegal wiretapping. WTF is that? Charge him with reckless driving or whatever, but this wiretapping thing and search of his home is way over the line IMO.:fire:
they searched his home seeking further evidence of him being a dumbshit. they found none, the CHARGES WERE DROPPED.

how come i get it?

you don't get excused from a search warrant with a note from your boss.

5 years for what? illegal wiretapping? for videotaping?
Now anyone who knows me, knows I hate cops, I wish the cop would have shot the guy, so I could jump on the hate the cop bandwaggon.

I didn't realize the case had been dropped. And I'm not sure what you are talking about being excused from a search warrant.:? I simply thought it was a little over the top for them to be searching his home for "evidence" of him being a "dumbshit" and charging him with illegal wiretapping.

Here is a quote from the article I posted which lead me to believe the charges were not dropped: "And he is waiting for his preliminary trial to see if prosecutors will decide to pursue this case"

My mistake. :-|

ok just watched the video.
First things first, the cop wasnt really even point his gun at the kid, and obviously it was a cop, this kid was going 100 miles and hour popping wheelies. *fucking dummy*
although I think its truly fucked up hes being charged for videotaping the officer. thats the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.
I think there should be video camera in every car to settle arguments just like these...( well maybe thats a bad idea.. but yah know what i mean)

I don't see the problem with the kid videotaping the stop. Videotaping his exploits on his crotch rocket is a separate issue, and yes I agree, incredibly stupid.:dunce:

yeah doc, I dont see the problem either..
The only problem I see is the kid getting in trouble for videotaping the office
lets change the reason the kid got pulled over to something like .. uh I dunno .... how about... racial stereotyping, and the cop beats the kid, down calling him a bitch ass nigga, lets say someone is videotaping it,and then that someone gets arrested for videotaping the officer.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZWFrvFqD364

like in the video above.. arresting the person shooting the video.. it just seems like another way for police to abuse their power

* EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT *

you are making assumptions.

sounds to me like he could have easily been out "baiting cops". or simply breaking the law to show off on youtube. explain the camera to begin with. though it's not illegal to have a camera, he was breaking the law to get good footage so he could show off to his friends. a "further investigation" into what he was actually doing with these tapes was performed. nothing more was found. case closed.

since when are you excused from a search warrant because you have a note from your boss or teacher? seriuosly.

next time you go out breaking the law on your motorbike, be ready to get in trouble. :dunce:

the cop may have "over reacted", but it had NOTHING to do with the camera. the dude on the bike was ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF INNOCENT DRIVERS FOR HIS OWN PERSONAL GAIN". he even admitted so. but that's ok, 'cause a cop was mean to him. :(
me making assumption, lol, i've cou/ntless video's me me and friends driving in cars, if i could afford a camera like that for a bike, i would, people do this ALL the time getting footage, most likely he had it on because he was doing wheelies, which i'm not saying is fine, but why is he cop baiting, well because it's an assumption.

i'm not saying he should get an excise for the search warrant... the point is why was there one of that scale? they confiscated his computers, searched the entire building. with 6 officers, as if he was about to shoot the first person to ring his doorbell

of course be ready to get in trouble, but trouble within reason, he was put in jail and given bond of $15,000 when the amximum by law is $10,000. he was arrested not for what he was doing on his bike, but the charges were against the camera, he was cahrged with wiretapping.

this quote is reporteedly to be from the judge who set him free, a judge, legal law upholding judge
‘I have no idea why you’re charged with this’
if this bloke has a video and he wants to put it on youtube, he can, it';s his right, it's not the cops right to get pissed off and use shaky irrelevant laws to put someone in jail.

the dude is out comitting illegal activities and taping them. i would think a search of his comp would be justified.

as fucked as it is, i don't think it's really that "overboard". i'm not siding with the cops, but i think dude kinda put himself out there to be fucked with. cops fuck with people. they didn't even broom rape his ass.

yeah .. that kid is a tool fdd..
no doubting that..
but do you think it should be illegal to record a conversation with a police officer? regardless of the reason.

so we'll just totally ignore his 4th and 1st amendment rights yeah? and ignore a law on what his bond may be set at? and try him under a completely irrelevant crime?

do you think it is ok for a policeman, a servant of the people, to use his position and job as a policeman to get back at someone for posting a youtube video? that seems just a tiny bit out of order in my mind

I don't want to stereotype all cops but I must say in my experience most of them are thugs with badges. I've personally have had a taser used on me. I ride a motorcycle and I personally would have took off right when I saw the gun, fight or flight when I see a gun. This cop is just like so many others, and it happens everyday and always will, or at least until the people have had enough of it.

Fuck that cop, fuck all cops. I protect my own.

keep putting words into my mouth so you can hate.

i clearly said, "i don't agree with how it was handled".

you all go ahead and twist that into whatever you want so you can hate.

maybe try to find a better video of someone getting fucked with. this one was weak. IMO
so many better examples out there. this dude is kinda a crybaby. he should have ditched them.

that video is irrelevant.

whether you state you don't agree with how it was handled, you also state
as fucked as it is, i don't think it's really that "overboard"
how is violating his rights amid other things not overboard?

explain why the american tax payers money was being spent on having 6 officers perform a dawn raid on his house to sieze the computers. if they had a warrant do you not think two would have been sufficient leaving 4 others to perform other duties, or was he deemed to be a danger to society while in bed as well?

i've already explained it, you weren't listening.

it was wrong, but not as extreme as some are making it out to be. the kid missed school. no shit, the house was being raided. yet people use this as a arguing point. it is these things that i am pointing out. these are NOT reasonable arguments.

maybe they could have brought flowers as well.

didn't even shoot his dog.

slow news week, i guess.

i couldn't care if people are late at the end fo the day, if i was a kid that would be a kick ass reason for being late into school, they didn't have to do it like that, as in 6 policemen, crack of dawn. that is not handling it in an apprpriate manner for the reasoning behind the warrant. the warrant was served on the basis that they were charging him with illegal wiretapping, by which they mean making the video. they could have simply knocked on his door at any point, or did he somehow know through his criminal grapevine that they were coming and to burn the evidence and skip the country?

what about posting a video of a policeman on youtube do you deem arrestworthy? this all happened *not sure why i put weeks, a period of time* after the incident, it was nothing but payback from the kid, not too smart maybe, but abuse of power from the police, out of order.

That cop was a fuckin idiot. He pulled his gun before he announced who he was. He couldve been dead by that point.

why are you still questioning me?

how come i can"t post in these thread without being personally picked apart?

this is NOT that big of a deal, IMO. am i allowed an opinion? or do i have to defend it all day?
