Such negativity ... I've been doing it for years and yes, hermies can come out of it, but methinks many of the hermie tales you hear about were not so much caused by feminized seeds but rather light leak and dark cycle interruption

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion ... What I am doing works for me quite nicely

How bout you do you and I'll do me and leave it at that ... I'm not really interested in your opinion let alone I don't need to explain 'why' I do things, what is important is it works for me and someone else may be able to use what I do to help with their system
take it which ever way you wish.
went through the Herm Fem Seed days...
sure they work OK........but not as good as REG seeds do when it comes to plants that do not have herm traits

do it how ever you wish but don't say fem seeds are better than regs for purity with no hem traits!

it comes from Design!

Ya eh..

Prove me wrong .........dude,,,,,(:

most people have no clue they have herms even when they are finished...
You wouldn't know unless you've made tons of oil over the last 30 years..

like strains now a day :wall:
Pure as the last hundred muts that have been bread with them...:eyesmoke:

next

its all Standardbred now a day
there aint no thoroughbreds anymore lol..
I think science has done so already. You're spreading false information and trolling.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Thanks to everyone else for sharing.

I've never tried the colloidal silver. As with everything I've read online I've found conflicting reports of efficacy.

I will be using a mixture of silver nitrate and sodium thiosulphate to create silver thiosulphate, as used in horticulture to inhibit the hormone production as stated in an earlier post. Got what is basically a lifetime supply for $145.

I couldn't find anything I felt was definitive enough to experiment with colloidal silver and I didn't have the luxury of time so I just went with the proven method.

It's pretty difficult to find chemical manufacturers willing to all to private individuals.

I also recently sourced the materials. I'm using sterling silver, 3 9v batteries w/ alligator clips. I plan on spraying one branch on each of my 5 strains and when sacs start to show I'll cut the branch and quarantine it to finish in my DIY aerocloner. To pollinate I will carefully brush pollen on select branches/buds (hopefully around week 3 or 3 1/2) then staple a paper bag over the branch for 4-5 days to prevent unwanted pollination. Hopefully it all works out to plan!!
Could you elaborate on the silver/battery process? Assumabley you're doing this in a solution of some sort?

He is creating his own colloidal silver by electrolysis using the sterling silver as the anode or cathode (or both) ... bu passing a current through water using sterling silver as the anode/cathode what end up happening is silver ions are dissolved into the water effectively creationg a colloidal silver solution

Takes a day or so to get the proper concentration to have a noticeable effect, but thats how it's made

you just take 2 pieces of silver and connect the positive to one and negative to the other and submerge both the pieces silver (but not the alligator clip) in a glass of water and it will cause silver particles to build up in the water. i got 12" of sterling silver wire at a jewelery/craft store and cut it in half. the smaller the particles the better so i think you want to clean off your silver pieces every 30-60 mins. Lots of newage type people drink colloidal silver for health, so you'll read/hear you must only use 99.9% silver but I figure since i'm not ingesting it 92.5% sterling silver is good enough for my purposes, i've read people having success with it.

and this is a video of the pollination process i plan on copying - this guy said with potent pollen (and big buds) you can get up to 200 seeds per branch

I think its quite funny what people think about fem seeds ..... (:

Fem away ...
There's a true gimmick for everyone. ;)

Fem seeds will give you more herm plants than reg beans do
Fem seeds will not give you More pure females by ratio, with the amount of herm plants tossed in,.
Nature produces more pure female, non herm beans, 60% of the time.
cloning fem seeds isn't good either... lol brings out the Herm it does eh

It does all come down to regular seeds being better saying Femenized is better is like saying make a cousin with your baby yea you'll have the same genes but will they really be stable..... Arkansas seeds is what they should be called.

Tell that to my California Hash Plant, Orange Bud, Cinderella 99, CBD Medihaze, Pineapple Hash Plant and the rest of my feminized girls ... all come from feminized seed and I haven't had an issue except for the Barny's Farm incident of 2012

Looks to me like you're just parroting what you have read online and don't have much practical experience in regards to feminized cannabis seeds ... go spend a few years working with fem seeds and then your comments will hold weight

The worst thing someone can do is listen to someone who thinks they know ... that is all

I really think seeds are seeds its really up to the person who's hands the seeds are in? Like I said I don't have much to say about the Femenized as I've purchased blue mystic Femenized for over 5 years one of my favorites but yea regular are noticebaly different as say a human of 5 foot 5 has his parents genes but could have a baby that's 6 foot 5 its all up to the seed and grower what happens from when you germinate it I also wouldn't jump at a breeder for a hermie in ones garden I've had one and knew it was my fault but I've only had one out of my growing experience which it was snapped in half and stressed to the max.

A plants size is directly related to its root system

My great grandfather used to say "as above, so below ... bigger the roots, bigger the fruits" - he was a farmer on a large acreage farm

The Mendo Dope guys in Mendocino county got busted a few years back for a legal 25 plant medical grow because they were too good at farming ... well over 600 lbs off 25 plants - they have a video about it on youtube

Just goes to show that the longer you veg the more you can get off of a plant
