Comedy is for sure a very impressive art form to me... I don't know if it's just because I love to laugh/smoke pot or what, but I feel like stand up (when done right) is one of the most honest and straight forward expressions of the human condition that exists out of all the arts. It feels like "art" with the bullshit cut away, being frank with you, just a guy on stage. I don't know. I don't know why I have this soft spot for comedians but I do.

Louis CK really raised the bar for me though, his stuff lately has been so ridiculously honest feeling. Love it. Number one thing that really sells me on a comedian is whether or not they feel genuine on stage. I love artists who tell it like it is. Chappelle is really good at this as well, and while very cynical, Carlin did a lot of telling it like it is as well. I like how comedy is a soapbox for influence and change on the psychosocial level, and I love it when artists are aware of it and utilize it well.

Hey thanks for the mention oldt but I'm small time compared to these guys.

I just go from comedy club to comedy club. I'm trying to audition for a few things right now. The next few years are going to be interesting.

Sam Kinison absolutely KILLED!

Patrice O'Neal

Steven Wright
I had the pleasure of seeing Sam Kinison in Colorado Springs in the mid 80's Breaking All The Rules is a great watch. His role as the screaming professor in Back to School was also a riot. :)
