Yet another light question

Aight. I’m running a vipar “600” in a 2x4. I already know the light coverage isn’t enough to have a full 2x4 canopy, which is what I want. My question is would a 2 ft 4 lamp t5ho paired next to the vipar be equivalent to each other to have an even canopy? I do think rotating the plants are an option since the branches are already interweaving.

Also i Should add. After this run I’m going dry for a bit to stock up on a 315 with 2 of t5s mentioned above to supplement. Once I come back my light will be right.

T5s are mainly used for veg mate but they can also be used for the entire grow! Any extra lighting will compliment the vipaspecta. People on RIU are really biased when it comes to blurple lights. They will always give you hassle for buying them. The fact is any light will grow your medication. Your tent is reflective for a reason. I don't see any reason why you can't fill the entire canopy. Your yield won't be anywhere near as good as if you had used quantum boards though.

Yea everyone has their preference on lights. I know. I wanted to start so bad I bought what I bought. It works. A good grower will grow good weed regardless.

I’m talking about t5 fixture. I’ll change the bulbs out as needed.

For the price you will pay for the t5 unit and bulbs you can get a 250w - 600w full spectrum hps setup. That along with the led would increase the growth and yield massively and will 100% fill the full canopy.
If your set on using a t5 I'm sure you can get led full spectrum replacement bulbs for the fitment.

I’m worried about heat for this grow. Once I take my break heat won’t be an option but for this one I’m controlling heat too.

In my old 2x4 I use to run a four foot 8 bulb T5 . That's the proper size for the 2x4 space. The two foot four bulb is for smaller spaces I currently use one in a closet over a 2x2 flood and drain setup . T5 lights are not the most efficient but they work. If I had to choose between any blurple and a T5 it's T5 all day hands down . They just work and you can get close to the canopy . There's tons of bulbs now that you can mix spectrum too bit I found the straight 6500K to work best overall for veg and flower .

Lookin at the spectrum wave for the dif kelvin it seemed 3000 or 3500 would be better for full run. I yielded 6 1/2 ounces off one plant w my blurple in a 2x3. I don’t wanna get the t5 and go backwards. So I’m just making sure the t5 will cover the extra ft of grow space.

All I can do is offer my advice based on experience man. I tested all kinds of stuff and the 6500K GE bulbs cheap from home Depot get the job done . I used it for veg for and full runs. And this was after testing various combinations of the Agro Max bulbs . You can search my first grow thread here and see what I did with what .

Either way spectrum aside the proper T5 setup for your space is the larger one I suggested before a four foot 8 bulb setup.

Good luck
:)
