Unfortunately kids these days are glued to their phones and if Google says so then it must be true. And if the phone says so then bow to it. Member the first peanut phone Nokia? With the antenna that popped up???? And then one day text msgs were a thing. Haha. I remember the first 'color phone' I got in highschool. It was still like 8bit but there were colors instead of just different shades of grey/black.
My mind was blown.
And life before the internet.... When we had to use these things with paper inbetween cardboard called a BOOK. lol. Now I sound like a grandpa
I've never been super into cellphones, but they're useful for sure. My favorite use for mine is music. I don't text. Those tiny buttons are annoying. I'm coming around to the online text reading stuff, but I really prefer paper or a hardcopy over a screen. And I had a BBS before the Internet where people would call to trade Commodore 64 games. That was in Jr. High, so I'd get home from school and have more free new games. My parents got tired of the phone line always busy, so they got me my own line. 300 Baud baby,

I could go into a store and get a quarter from my parents and take over Super Mario until they were done. When they were ready I'd let whoever I felt like take over my game with a shitload of lives,

I got a book on programs you can write for it, so me and my friend were up hella late. He's reading the code and I'm typing it. For fucking hours. And then we finally got done. We tried it and "It Worked" Yay!! Then I shut it off before I even thought to save it. :wall:. As soon as I hit that power button I was like Oh Shit!
