Will my plant die if...

My plant is about 4-1/2 ft' tall. Can I cut the top foot off (all the large buds) & lower my lights so the rest grow heavy? My problem is, everything under the top foot 1/2 is little 5-sack nuggs (I used CFL's for the whole grow, due to finances) so will she die if I cut her from the main stem or will it continue to grow for at least another week or so with the lights closer & doing more?

are you asking to harvest bud and let the rest grow? I've never heard of that being done really....but idk I would imagine it would stress the female out incredibly, especially if its right in the middle of flowering.

people do it all the time, allows light to penetrate lower buds and fatten them up.

Its ready to harvest, although, since I used CFL's, most of the plant yielded small nuggs all the top nuggs are monsterous though. I want to chop the monsterous ones off & continue to grow the rest for a week or so to get more weight under em.

Sounds reasonable, I just figured it would stress her out in the middle of budding. Guess I figured wrong, thanks for settin the record straight.
