Why are my plants not stretching properly?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone can give me advice regarding these plants. I am wondering if blue LED light is stunting their growth?

Recently I came across this post that advised to switch all LED lights on during the blooming phase... https://thegreensunshineco.com/fix-led-spectrum-flowering-plants/

However my plants are not receiving the stretch I expected and now I am concerned that because of this I am going to lose a great amount of yield....? They are now in Day 12 of flower and some are showing the first signs of bud development. In the first picture is the Skunk XL from Royal Queen Seeds. it says on the website that the plant will grow over 1 metre tall and up to 1.5 metres. but mine seems to be stunted at about 1 ft...? What would you advise?

Also attached are some photos of a plant I am not sure about if it is a male or not? might need chopping please let me know...? you can see the plants are starting to bush out a little and are getting ready for flower. But they are staying so short and stocky it makes me concerned about the overall yield in the end? What do you guys think?

On the other hand the plants are super green and healthy with no deficiencies at the moment so thats good.

Here are the photos:

Yeah it's good practice to leave both veg/bloom lift on because you get a better spectrum of light. Look up videos where veg vs bloom vs both is used and the comparisons. Both are better. And I really would advise against believing anything Royal Queen says. I bought royal dwarf autos off of them, most seeds were immature and the ones that did grow had genetic defects I have never seen before. The spacing between branches looks adequate, if you are concerned, try moving your led up higher and your plants might stretch up to look for the light.
Thanks for the quick response. Appreciated. See thing is I don't understand because before I grew some different stains with this same LED light and the stretch was out of control! the plants went damn near touching the light and burning the leaves and bud! now this is the complete opposite and they are not stretching enough! lol and its not just the royal queen that seems to be stunted growth but all plants are really remaining short and stocky. I was hoping for a little stretch so I could fill out a scrog net nicely with the 4 plants but it looks like they might not stretch enough to really do that well... I hope the buds still get the attention they deserve and I hope my yield isn't too bad because of it but I guess time will tell...

Think I should just keep on doing what I am doing then? I have never had plants this short in flower before... it seems wrong to me xD But I hope it will be fine. Any ideas on the later pictures if that last plant is a male or not? not 100% sure but it needs to go if it is...

Has the plant been topped many times? That may have also attributed to the small but bushy stature.
Yes the plant has been topped many times! but still I have not had them this short before... I used to top a lot under a 600w hps and those plants still ended up huge but they still look great! :D They actually had a nitrogen deficiency in the early stages of growth and it delayed vegging by a couple weeks because they were not getting what they needed. but now everything is on point they are super healthy right now! :D I'm using Remo nutrients and going to add a little big bud from advanced nutrients in the next couple of weeks.

Do you think there is any need for the scrog net in this instance then? or should I just get rid of them and let them grow out as is if the spacing between branches is adequate?
