which system gives the best yield?

hello people, wanted to know which grow method you think gives the highest yield. lets leave the quality issues aside for now and just think yield.

i will throw out some different techniques and you can choose the one OR MORE (or add your own) you think gives the largest yield. AND INCLUDE ANY DETAILS YOU WANT. just some mediums/techniques to get the ball rolling...

AEROPONICS

DWC (deep water culture)

SOIL

FOGOPONICS

COCOPONICS

SOILESS MEDIUMS (too many to name, but list your preference, ROCKWOOL ECT.)

ORGANICS

SYNTHETICS

EBB N FLOW

RECIRCULATING SYSTEM

DRAIN TO WASTE

AUTOMATED IRRIGATION

HAND WATERED

TOP FEED

BOTTOM FEED


...so which systems, mediums, and techniques are best when it comes to YIELD and nothing but the YIELD??

I've been going cocoponics for quite a while now, but would like to hear everyone elses take on it.

A good grower can perfect any one of those systems to where the only limiting factor is the genetics of the plant.

No some systems produce faster than other regardless of grower or strain. A perfect soil garden isnt going to produce as much as a perfect aeroponics system of the same size with the same veg and flower times.

yeah you will lose in weight not in taste or head everything is a trade off

if you take a pill for one thing upset something else but if pill is needed for serious problem it must be considered

if only looking at volume commercial dont consider soil if for yourself connasour consider soil for taste and head its the best

but soil needs more babysitting can leave a syststem alone longer if running right

do you think you could pass a blind taste test between weed grown in soil compared to hydro if they were both A+ quality?

i knew the quality issue would come up, thats why i said lets keep it about yield but thats okay... All comments ideas and thoughts are welcome.

I didnt bring it up because you asked not to but no, there is no difference and i bet the people that say there is cant tell in a blind taste test

I get good results from hydro nft, but ive been thinking about aeroponics but i would only trade if the diffrence was major in yeilds.

Seeing as the sun is the most powerful light anyone can reasonably afford (and it's free!) I would say outdoors gives the best yield. Yield depends on the lights a lot more than the medium.

two very very good points Ganja !
Outdoor wins everytime.
and yield does depend very much on your lighting... so u have found some loopholes in the thread haha.

but lets keep it Indoor and assume you have as much light as possible with perfect RH, Temps, Co2, ect....
( i have 1000 watt digies slamed pretty close together with automatic climate control ).

everything you said is valid tho.

hmmm... although you can grow hydro on a massive scale in a greenhouse with blackout capabilities, using the natural sun and that is kinda tricky and kinda kick ass as well.

I only use soil if there is no possible way i can water everyday or im setting someone else up outdoors and want to keep it simple for them.

In that case I've had friends who where very successful with aeroponics, you can fit more plants in a closer proximity and still get good bud from each one. I saw somewhere (I thin k it was a TV show actually) where the plants where mounted on the walls of a closet and aeroponically watered while two 1000W HPS's sat in the middle. THAT would be best yield.

maybe... but i have my doubts about the vert. closet grow being the best yield... even though thats what they said on Weeds. :)

im not knocking it though, just always been skeptical about that technique...
-anyone ever tried going this route?

THATS the TV show it was on, thanks. Lol. Which reminds me, I haven't watched the new episode. I'm skeptical as well, but it has to work a little. Google it.
