Trimming or pruning

Hi everyone

Only second attempt and i wanna trim off the lower branches but i too scared to do it.

Can someone explain the process. I can supply pics if thats easier.

Do i need to do it?
At what stage can it be done?

Cut off any growth under your main canopy (budding area) that you know isn't going to benefit your plant. This could be removing small, undeveloped growth tips, leaves, etc. I would only do it if you needed to, and this being your first grow, may mean just that. Can be done at any stage. Post some pics so we can see what you're working with!

Unless your putting up side lighting, all your lighting will be above the plant penetrating down. Every layer of leaves the light goes through severally depletes that. You want to be defoliating any layer where you see very little light penetration as it's just a drain on your plant and you want to be concentrating your bud sites on the top part of the canopy
