Trim or not to trim

Hey everyone I’m pretty new doing indoor with led... did a couple of outdoor projects right now day 31 running 2 1000 W black dog LED‘s

I’ve been reading that a lot of LEDs don’t break through the fan leaves and lower Bud sites don’t get the energy they need wondering if Pruning the major fan leaves to allow more light in would be beneficial at this stage or detrimental again I’m on day 31 of flower... share a couple pictures if you can get an idea thanks for any help

It's a topic of great debate..I can't decide if buds need direct light to grow large or if the plant itself just needs light and the buds will benefit.

Maybe tuck/pluck a few large fan leaves at the top. It's grower's choice. Personally, I can't prove any harm or benefit to the yield. I don't think it's significant either way.

Definitely get rid of anything lower than 12 inches from the canopy.
What drives me nuts is the little shoots from way down at the bottom that grow wayyyy up to the top of the canopy and yield about 1-2 grams when dry... I think to myself "how much energy did that take" :)

OK thanks for the advice I’ll go ahead andpluck some of the fan leaves on top I made a mistake in pruned at the end of vegetative state and my plants blew up during flower and I neglected to prune the first two weeks and now I have some pretty gnarly growth on the bottom was reading that it would be detrimental to cut them because the energy would take to heal them would take away from the Bud‘s and it would be better to just leave it I now regret my decision ... Thanks again for the advice I appreciate it

Yea, again it's grower's choice.. There are a lot of unscientific people tossing around a lot of unscientific information. Myself included.. :) I think that lollipopping is pretty well agreed upon that it's good or ok to do,

How about this as a guide... "Everything in moderation"

I purposely I’m running high nutes at this time I’m expecting a little bit of leaf burn but there’s nothing terribly bad I’m pushing it for about 2000 2500 which is why this is expected... And their LED is a little bit closer than it should be but the buds are looking really good I’m a little bit torn as to what to do honestly

You could try a staged or staggered harvest, taking the top colas first and letting the lower bud sites flower for an extra week or two. I know some people get good results this way too.
