i was listening to the defenses house republicans made against impeachment. their main defense was, theres no need for this impeachment because this attack on the capitol is no big deal and doesn't fit the 25th amendment. its only a big deal because big tech and social media are making it a big deal. the articles of impeachment and motions are being rushed by house democrats. Biden will be president before the senates trial makes their final decision. the president also did not encourage or incite an attack, but only wanted a peaceful rally. thoughts?

How they defend the fact that at least one of the dozen or so speeches that were to take place after Trump's (where he said for his audience to go to the capital and he would be with them) rallying of the troops were canceled to free everyone up for the riot that had been planned.

I also liked the point the one rep made about all the times Al Green has been bringing it up and they discussing all the ways Trump has been a danger and needs to be removed. That this is not last minute, it is too late.

sad to know that live sessions of congressmen speaking is considered fake news because its not being streamed on a media outlet the individual likes. *Live house session on impeaching trump is being streamed on the Washington Post, MSNBC, Fox News, PBS* "nope. whatever is being played back on a social media platform i dont agree with is fake news" - americans

Did anyone listen to the debate last night on the motion to send a letter to the VP about the 25th Amendment? (NPR had special coverage) What stood out to me was not very many GOP members wanted to speak at all, and those that did talked about procedure, not the meat of the matter. Only a couple three would actually defend what Mr Trumpf did.

Also a few of the black Democratic members must have been preachers. Their presentation was really good. And one from New York didn't have the best grammar in the world, but he lit into Mr Trumpf.
