Third Dimension

So my buddy cracked 12 of the 3D beans he got from the Attitude TGA special from a while back.
He put them into 7 gal. pots using Super Soil. Man them things got big as hell in 3 weeks. I mean wow!!! 7 Gal is the way to go!!

We haven't had as good of luck with these 3D as we did with the Jillybean. Jilly's were 8 out of 10 female. But so far he put 6 3D in and 4 of them turned out to be male. It wouldn't of been so bad but man 28 gal of super soil down the drain kinda hurt lol. Worst of all is that them baby's were beautiful. Oh well now we got some 3D males to play around with. I guess the lesson we learned was to sex them before they get to the 7 gal stage lol. Oh well live and learn. Been running clones for the last 14 years and running beans inside is new territory. I haven't run beans since my out door days in the early 90's - late 80's.

Anyone else here grown 3D?
Is there a special Pheno to look for?

We got Dairy Queen in reserve and Vortex on the way. :hump:

After the first couple weeks of growth from seed (we sprout in 1 gal pots) we should of put them under 12/12 until they sexed and then put them right back into veg. Once we knew the sex we could weed out the males and transplant the females to the 7 Gal. pots. Like I said live and learn. :)

My favorite 3D has a lemon smell and a potency above 16%
I ran the Tropical pheno twice and its amazing but I have seen the lemon female a few times and its delicious,

This is why if you buy seeds you should use them to make more. Dont be greedy stoners! Sacrifice a few bud's THC to get some free seed of you favorite strain!

doest that stress the plant doing that? putting it into flower then veg?
Actually im talking about using a male to pollinate a lower branch or two. The rest of the plant will be sinsemilla still. Its pretty easy, you just have to have room to keep your best male phenotype from the seeds you ordered.

or pull clones from each, and once rooted (even just a little bit) put them in 12:12 and just discard the boys if you aren't breeding... that will keep them from getting all stressed out, plus you can plant the clones to start a perpetual harvest... just a thought...

Putting females into flower and then reverting them back to vegitative confuses them and makes them take forever to grow. Dont do that. Instead take a cutting from each of your plants and clone for sex. That way you know which of you plants are male and female.

I was sad because we lost all that super soil. Clones were takin before they were sexed out. We always do that. We just wanted the seeds to run in the 7 gal pots for the little bit of extra seed vigor. It's all good .. like I said at least we have some choices on males now.

I did my first seed experament a couple weeks back. I had a Jilly Bean male outside and collected pollen as described by Sub on this forum.
I painted a couple small branches of BBCheese, Dina Fem's Critical Jack and a couple unknowns we've had for years. After 2 weeks sure as shit I got seeds all over my painted branches. And all other branches appear seed free. Don't know what will come out of it but what the hell .. It's fun messing around with these different strains after being a clone cutter for the last 15 years.

how old does the plant have to be that youre taking cuttings from? isnt there a good chance that by the time you can take clones the plant will already have to be in its container that youll flower in?

TGA 3D at 26 days 12/12, sativa dominant and smells like lemon pledge :). Hard to find many details about the 3D's around the boards. Clones easily, rooted in 8 days in rapid rooters.

you can pull clones as early as three weeks if they are quick growing... i start mine in rooter plugs, transfer into solo cups (jeff tek style) with coco and hydroton, and then finish in 2 gal containers in ebb and flo style... but i am transitioning into an all hydro method which should keep the shock down a bit (not that they are all that shocky, but growth is retarded for about a week or so when i transfer)...

i rarely pop new seeds so i'm cloning to keep the strain alive/ cut down on seed costs... tga runs about 135$/10 seeds from attitude, to a little old timer like me if you've got one that works, you keep it... i'm keeping 4 strains alive with this method, and it keeps me in variety, which they say is the spice of life...

Quick update on the Third Dimension lemon pheno at day 56 of 12/12 as of today. Had to add some support, she really packs it on in the last 2 weeks.

nl3004.kind, thanks man!

Chopped her this morning at day 64 with about 40% amber trichs, ended up with 172g wet. Should be ready for New Years partying :). It will dry on the screen in my tent for 72hrs then into paper bags for 3 days, then into jars for curing.

Last photo is a 3D on the right, on the left is a Blue Mystic and Blue Widow.
