A couple things. As far as I know there's no strain that you tell maturity by the pistols, or by a timeline, it goes by the tricomes, you want to harvest when about 50% of the tricomes are milky and 50%of the tricomes are amber, also depending on whether you want a higher thc content or cbd content, more amber tricomes equals more cbd content due to the thc in the tricomes breaking down, more milky tricomes equals higher thc content, as long as the tricomes are fully developed
1.) If you are growing a strain from your clones that you have experience with, you should be able to determine when it is ready by time, as long as you are consistent in your environment and feeding. This is how commercial growers do it.
2.) YOU may wait for 50% of your trichomes to be amber(degrading) but personally, I prefer ~5-10% clear, ~%5 Amber, ~85-90% cloudy. Not saying you are wrong, but that is my preference.
3.) Trichomes are only 1 aspect, I like the buds to look done, calyx swollen, pistils receded, proper coloring(hard to explain I guess).
