Not in my opinion. Training like you did helps keep that to a minimum .

Yeah I'll stop with that. Should I take the ties off the ones in flower or just leave them?

Either way. They'll raise up starting the second you untie them. You can always weight them down lightly for light distribution.

I LST until stretch is over. Once the plants have stopped growing and are focusing solely on bud production I don't do anything to them except let them grow. I don't do anything drastic as far as training during flower. Opening up a plant using string isn't going to hurt anything. Just don't do anything super stressful during flower. I don't believe in removing healthy fans in order to "Help" a plant. The only thing I remove is the very bottom stuff near the soil. That's just to keep things clean and sanitary when I water. I don't want a bunch of dead or damage leaf from being in the water. Those kind of things attract pests. Even at that I do it slowly over time.
