Question about diffusers

what is the bennifit/ or draw back of having a diffuser on a cob vs an optic lens. I mean i get that they are both lenses but for instance the migrow boasts a diffuser for better penetration as opposed to say an optic 1 with a 90 degree glass lens is one better than the other or is it all just more bs lol to sell lights. Its really hard to decide on the right led for my upgrade I want to spend about 300- 400 give or take for 7 sq, ft

Wrong.. the diffuser breaks up that light so it don't penertrate

remember the glare from the lights during math class?

they didn't have a diffuser on them

plants need that penertrating light to grow them lower leves

I learned this the hard way with my LED T5's

removed the diffuser strip and Wham...the plants bolted off
