Yes... Here's what you do:

1. Make sure you have no light leaks. It could be just a pinhole in your tent or a tiny light from a power strip you need to tape up. Take everything out of your flowering area and close yourself in with the lights off. Have someone turn on an exterior light or flashlight outside. You should not be able to see your hand in front of your face. Tape up or block out any light leaks you find.

2. Plants very late in flowering sometimes herm out for no apparent reason. It could be genetic but it is always caused by some kind of stress. Like high temps, humidity, or nutrient toxicity.

3. Use regular seeds. Fem seed is more prone to herms as they are selfed.

4. You can just pick them off with tweezers if it's not too bad. But if you've got bananas everywhere you look cut your losses ASAP. You can still get decent smoke if you prevent the male flowers from opening but once they get seeded it's too late. Don't use any seeds from a herm either they will likely herm out as well.

I have no light leaks but I did have a light timer malfunction 2 weeks ago. My brother noticed that the power strip that is plugged into timer was on in tje middle of the night and hit the switch as soon as he saw it was on. I hoped it wouldn't lead to problems but I guess I was counting my chickens....

The worst that can happen is you'll end up with a few seeds. With the prices people pay for seeds I'm always surprised when people go into a panic over a couple banana's on their plants.

You mean that seeds from self pollinated plants with bananas are viable? I always thought they also tend to hermie, but some people say they don't

Can you post a whole plant pic? How far are you into flower? Like @Richard Drysift said, if you dont see many then just pluck them off. And if you're close to harvest, pluck them off and you'll be fine.
I can't post a pic of whole plant I am now leaving the state for a few days. But I did pluck them off before I left ended up finding about 10 to tel between the 3 plants. Didn't find any on any others thankfully. I have my brother baby sitying my girls for me while I'm away so they don't get lonely.. LOL
They were flipped to 12/12 on July 24th so they are now at the end of their 6th week.

The first cross I ever made I used some banana's that formed on a Master Kush that I used to pollinate a strain called Purple Sky. The cross was phenomenal. None of the seeds from the cross developed into hermies and I gave away a bunch of seeds and clones and nobody that grew it ever had them go hermie either. If you let most plants grow long enough they will develop banana's regardless of strain. It's the plants way of reproducing on it's own if it doesn't get pollinated by a male. It's called rodelization. It's what the plant does to survive.

That's some good info, thank you. If I understand correctly, you let the plant get overriped until she starts showing bananas, right? But doesn't the plant die shortly after that? I mean, seeds take time to develop. When I pollinated my females with male pollen it took 4-5 weeks for the seeds to mature. How do you keep the plant alive? Im guessing that im wrong and the plant doesn't die?
