Play along...You are stuck on a desert island and can only grow two strains....ever.

If I could get 3 I'd probably okay with that. I'm not sure what I would grow exactly, probably specific cuttings rather then strains I'm thinking.

WOS White Rhino X Mazar. High THC and high CBD for good pain control. Grown it & growing it. Clones easily.
Dinafem Blue Widow. WW X Blueberry. As above and it tastes so darned good. Grows tall! Daughters fiance has one going in a 5 gallon DWC topped so many times its now forming over 40 top buds like a burr.

I would assume a deserted island would be tropical and near to the equator? If so that opens the door to growing strains that we dont grow easily indoors.

That would require much more consideration. I would really start thinking about some of the equatorial sativas.

I would definately go with a nice sativa and a nice indica or 2 nice hybrids with both qualities. I would definately be breeding them and if no male was present I'm trying some hermie pollination lol. I got nothing but time on the island so I'm sure I can search thru those beans and find killers.

Yep, this right here.

experience growing these strains: zero.
Well, if I'm really stuck on some deserted island all to myself for eternity, I'm going to want not just the ability to get "high" but also food (seed) and fiber, as more important.

So to start, I'd want some landrace sativa strain acclimated to the island in question. (Which stain depends on which island, but we can call Jamaican Lamb's breath as one for a Carribean island!).

It would be a shame to bring some nice pure indica or hybridized-drug strain, only to find out that it was susceptible to outdoor bud rot due to humidity, didn't like the local soil, pests, etc.

For a second strain, I'd take some crazy polyhybrid, so that it could have as many genetics as possible in there. Using those as a starting point, within a few generations it might be possible to selectively breed locally acclimated strains with other features (like high CBD) that do well outside in that climate.

assume magical desert island...you can grow any strain real or imagined.
OK, then I'll take the magical "Strain of Dionysus" that grows into 20 foot trees that drip pure water hash off in berry-sized clumps, yield pounds of nice hemp seeds, and make awesome fiber for ropes and other purposes.

Second strain. . .does it really matter at that point?

I dig the landrace idea.

My two would be:

Black Afghani (black domina x afghani #1) local cut

For pain reducing, sleep inducing, relaxing body trance buzz.

Arctic Fallout (snow lotus x Chemdawg 91) House of Funk

For raspberry kush, crystallized donkey dicks, that get you high in your body and mind.

It has a deep authentic feeling, and a buzz them seems to bubble up from below.

The strain I would choose if I could only grow one.

Its not available anymore, and was a limited seed run, I doubt many even have it...

Still got 5 beans in the vault.

really hate to see great strains die like this...I wonder about other seed companies releasing it or is that totally unethical?
