I got my new Matristar S2 LED grow light. This one being a 4000k, my last grow I used a 3000k. I like to experiment and see how things will differ. I transplanted a Tangilope clone into a 3 gallon pot.. I got everything setup in my grow tent and today it started. The plant is just 6" tall from top of soil to top of plant. I started with the light at 32" above the plant to see how it reacts and I will adjust accordingly. I hope to see some roots poking out of the bottom of the pot within a week, then she should take off nicely!

Not much happening yet, she has grown to 9.5" tall. I expect her to get growing soon. For me the vegetation stage is so boring.
She is just getting water still and not much because plants don't seem to need much water when grown in these tents.

Looking good, I think I’ll follow your grow. I’m trying to figure out which light I will buy to upgrade from my Vipars once I get to that point.

I have a Viparspectra PAR 450 and it runs 200 watts actual...the thing I noticed was how much warmer the Vipar made my tent compared to this Matristar being only 50 watts less. That means to me that the vipar is less efficient, turning electricity into heat rather than light. The Vipar works well, but has a very small coverage area.

A little update; a couple of days now I have noticed this Tangilope starting to stretch upwards so with limited height to finish her under I decided to bring here into bloom. I set lights at 15/9 and in a couple of more days I will bring it to 12/12. This is the more interesting part for me. I should have more pics by the weekend or maybe sooner.

What soil / nutrients are you using? Plants are looking great!
Thank you!
I mixed Pro-mix BX 60%, with Foxfarm ocean forest 35%, plus more perlite, probably about 5%. A little Foxfarm Grow Big during veg and Foxfarm Tiger Bloom will be used during bloom. I am also adding some 0-5-0 Bat guano.

yeah that is a really healthy looking plant! i might have to try your soil mix.
I used to just use the Pro-mix by itself and add the nutrients every other watering because Pro-mix has nothing except mycorrhizae in it, that was under HPS. Now under these LED's I find the plants only need water like every 4 days, so adding the Ocean Forest would give some nutrients to use since I could not add nutes as often in the waterings.
