You should have no problem creating negative pressure with that so... With what little info you provided, you have your carbon filters in the same area as your plants right? There should be nothing coming out of your grow room but good scrubbed air. Good luck!

Some possibilities:

- Air is getting in after the filter. Sealed lights are often not air-tight.

- Too much air flow thru the filter. Carbon filters don't work well if the air goes thru too fast. The filter maker will tell you the recommended CFM.

- Not enough carbon. You might need a bigger filter, but you did not specify room size.

Personally, if I could vent to outside, I'd use an inline ozone filter just before the air is exhausted (in addition to a carbon filter).

The room is 12 x 12 with a veg tent in it.The tent has one light and filter in it,outside the tent is 2 lights and filters for flower.all lights go though 6 inch duct to a 12 inch 1800 cfm fan that exhausts under the house....
If its moving to much air would I need to add another 6 inch line and filter, which would lower the air speed on the original three filters???

I had the same issue kinda... I was trying to use an 8" vortex fan on 2 6" x 24" carbon filters.. I took off 1 filter and things cleared up completely... Try breaking it off into 2... It could be either your not pulling enough air, or your pulling too much.... I'm thinking 3-6" filters is too much, and its not pulling enough or you have leaks... I use that aluminum duct tape on everything... even where the pipe is seemed (regular hard/round pipe that snaps together), if you can hear any kind of whistling when the fans running... you got leaks...

Either that or your filters are worn out... They eventually do need replacement... Check the manufacturers website, they will be able to tell you the proper specs on how exactly how much cfm you need to get the proper level of scrubbing...
