How do you measure run off?

Am I able to fill the gallon jug half way, put the nutes in that and feed the plant the entirity of the jug, which would be a half gallon?
Go slowly. When you see a bit of run off add a bit more.

I guess you could but from my experience you can easily create channels in the dirt that will just let water flow through without getting soaked into the dirt.

It becomes a waste of water and nutrients imo

I'm growing indoors though. By runoff do you mean how much water pours out the bottom of my bucket? I'm in a five gallon bucket now but Im switching to fabric pots soon.

Get a TDS / PH pen so that way you certain of PPM strength and water / mix PH going in.

If you control that issue there will be no reason to check runoff. Soil 6.5 ( ish ) for full element availability to plant - plus looks like early calmag issue ( fairly common ) but easy to correct.

Plant looks pretty good just ph match plant to the medium ...

I don't have much money for one and this is a budget low tech grow. Any alternatives? Im definitely getting a soil pH pen.

I'm very confused on dosing nutrients and watering the plant. Any videos on this you'd recommend? I got lighting down, temp is good, humidity perfect, I just am confused on how much nutrients to give and how much water to put them in etc. I didn't know anything about this runoff or PPM/TDS stuf

Hmm. Looks like a pencil or a mushroom.

Hmmmm.....

But that soil looks fucked man.
The soil is fucked. Please help what do I do? Is it fungus? This has happened before is it mold? I think it's because the soil isn't getting much air hence why I need the fabric pots.
