My ball valve leaks

the lube makes the rating jump. Maybe ill use a bit on my 12 inch triclamp gaskt when I get one.

The valve is a sliding motion, where the 12" gasket seals by compression. Lubing the valve allows higher seat pressures when assembling, so it still operates but is squeezed tighter.

Why add unnecessary contaminants to your extract?

I got a whitey valve on the way, hopefully its the same as swagelok and not their bargain brand. It weighs 9 lbs?

I decided against that because it had gallium? I dunno if that can be cleaned out.
