I have had great success with out side growing. Easy to get carried away experimenting and end up with too many plants to take care of. The biggest problem is watching helicopters fly over.
Went to a grow shop out of curiosity mostly to see their grow tent technology and ask some questions. I listened to the guy that has been in the business awhile and got the feeling he is a pretty straight shooter. I asked for a quote on a Gorilla tent, 5x5, led light set up fans filter pots and tray and so on. I knew his prices would be higher than scouring the web but figured his guidence down the road woud help ofset the cost. $90.00 more for the tent and $495.00 more for the light has me concerned though and questioning the whole idea.

Try this link.....https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-best-deals-thread-post-best-deals-and-lowest-prices-links.237610/

Past postings discount codes are probably expired, but new ones come up all the time, and it'll give you a good idea on how much you may need to spend.

Combos aren’t always the best deal. As far as guidance from the grow shop, well that depends on a lot of things . Remember unless he’s a close friend it’s his best interest to sell not teach

I’m assuming that your in a no go area being concerned about helicopters so IMO only dumb shop owners, grower or not, would give out to much info on illegal activity anyway

I wouldn't buy anything right away. Make a list of things you'll need, like light and tent, for example, then research your best options. You don't "need" a gorilla tent. They are nice but super heavy. I got a gorilla lite tent on a crazy good black friday deal. As for light, you could light a 4x4 tent well with a $129 hps setup or a $1,000+ LED. BUT you can also get decent LEDs for that size now in the $500 range. If you just want to dip your toes in, and still get great results, just start with HPS. Just research each item you'll need, like vent fan (ac infinity is good) circulation fans, pots, media, nutrients, etc. Don't buy a 12 bottle nutrient line, all you need is Jack's or Megacrop 2 part. This hobby doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg, but it does take a chunk of change to get started. A LOT of these items will be on sale online for the black friday/cyber monday sale, and also SEEDS will be on sale too. Ask us if you have any questions about a specific item or before you buy a big ticket item, to be sure you aren't wasting your money. I'd stay away from local hydro stores, this is one case where it's better not to support local business!
