lighting question

I have a 12'x12' space that I would like to flower 36 plants in. My question is would four 1000w hps in either raptor or magnum xxxl hood be enough to light that space? Seeing that each 1000w would be only over 6 plants.or should I add another one or two in the middle for some over lapping light. What would u do for lighting in that space?

I myself would use 6 or 7 600 watt hps versus 4 x 1000 watters. 600 watters are more efficient in many ways.

I'm in the same boat Travis, but I have a 10x10 room.. If you are like me you are stuck on 1000watts and the 600 lovers will never win me over. I am currently running 4 medium sized hoods in my room and am considering upgrading to Raptors to better cover. IMO there is not a hood out there that does a very good job OVER 4x4 - so if I were you I would run 6 lights if you want to cover the entire room.
