If you're using current tech leds-then yes, that's a shit-ton of photons.
If you're using older blurple diodes-then that's right in line with using a 1kw HPS in the same 4x4.
Im using 300 watts marss hydro led 140 true watts each. Full spectrum blue, red, white. I got 7 of these but i was thinking of 9 for scrog canopy. What do you recomend?

If you're using Mars style fixtures, then I'd stick with the same as HID- 50w/sq ft.
Kinda pointless, in my opinion-you're producing exactly the same amount of thermal load to the space and not saving any energy over using a HID fixture.

So stick with 7 light fixtures? Or 9 of these fixtures?

Get a hps light I think is what he is saying. People use LEDs to use less energy. Your using the same amount power as a hps light and will only get ok results.
