Intake fan placement?

This may seem like a simple question but I've been going back on forth on it for some time. I grow in a scrog style setup and I custom make my own grow cabibets in wondering if I could place the intake fan above the scrog canopy in between the lights and the canopy or should I leave the fan below the canopy? My only concern is in not sure if it'll suffocate the roots or something? Probably just over thinking this but still nice to know for sure

id say let the cool air pull through the canopy as it gets dense in a scrog and no airflow through canopy increases risk of bud rot imo

That's exactly what I was thinking, the only thing I worry about is that my extraction fan is right on top of the cabinet and since the roots need oxygen will they still get sufficient amounts?

what medium? when you water it will naturally pull fresh air into the pots
