I think my plant is hermie help!!!

ok i bought 5 feminized swiss cheese seeds from nirvana all sprouted there like 3 feet tall now and huge!! i have 3 confirmed females than i have two other plants that have these small balls no pistills coming out they jsut keep getting bigger if my plant whent hermie would it show the balls first than the pistills? or would a hermaphrodite bud first than show balls????

Hmmmm.. thatsa a hard question.. do you have any pics?? thats wierd.. almost sounds like theyre JUST males.. not hermies.. how long have the balls been showing?? and are you sure theyre balls and not swollen calyxes?? cuz i know on my plant.. i have some giant calyxes.. that could be easily mistake for balls... idk.. it really just sounds like they're just male.. not hermies.. and its wierd that the other ones showed female signs... but these ones still havent yet.. shit that would suck if you bought female seeds... and they turn out to be fucking males!! i just order some white widow seeds (feminized) from nirvana last week and am still waiting for them... but now u got me nervous.. lemme know if u got pics

If they're all the same strain, it should be fairly easy to tell if they're not females, by comparing them to the ones that definitely are. Their sex organs should look the same, and I'm assuming that they're the same age, so they should also have hairs like the comfirmed females do. I agree with the member above, that if they aren't showing any pistils yet, they're probably males. Feminized seeds aren't guaranteed to be females, but a high percentage of them are. It's odd that you got 2 out of 5 that aren't, so maybe the seed bank is at fault? Maybe they sent you regular seeds?

I agree that it sounds like you just have a male plant. If you don't have any pics at least tell us where you are in the grow cycle. How old is the plant and how long has it been under 12/12?

Back when I used to grow from random bag seed I got hermies all the time. But the male flowers didn't show up until well into flowering, down on the lower branches, on what had been looking like a well established female.

You know if you've paid for some seeds of a decent strain (whether feminized or not) you might want to put a male plant that shows up off in a different location and collect the pollen off of it. Then using a small artists paint brush you could selectively pollinate one or two of the lower buds on your females and get yourself some future seed stock of that strain.

no pics cause i need to buy some good batteries for it. And there all the sam age the females have one sack with two white pistils sticking out. very easy to see now what i think are males they have have two sacks next to eachother like balls than on the top they have a tiny bit of yellow still very small but if it was female itd show female signs just like the others since there all the same age they have been growing for 7 months (crazy right?) very unstable but than like a month a go i used sulfur to lower the ph and worked wonderful huge fat leaves thicker stems growing liek crazy now i just put them under 12/12 today 3 confirmed females which are in 12/12 males are still growing until i figure out what they are. never grow nirvanas swiss cheese very unstable plant in my opinion.

I missed typed 7 months for 3 months lol anyway the plants have had 3 months veg outdoor in pots would have been quicker if i had lowered the ph earlier anyway that sounds like a good idea and i was thinking of pollinateing the lwoer branches of the famles. the plants have smelt amazing threwout the intire veg cycle i cant wait just cant wait to smell these when they start buding and smoke it. also if i pollinate the lower branches how many seeds would i get?

I would agree that it sounds like a male. I would give it another week or so due to its strain. Also by dusting that bottom end you will be surprise on your seed outcome. (1 to dozens of seeds) it all depends. Good luck. Wish to see some pics if you get around to it. I also have a set of 5 feminized seeds coming from Nirvana,(BlackJack). Can't wait myself.

yeah i guess there males ohwell i still have 3 females that i just put in 12/12 yesterday woke up today and they have grown 4" over night!! cant wait to see them at the end of the week wll post some pics on friday. also took some clones about a week ago which are growing nicely
