How to make fox farm ocean forest into super soil?

The title is a bit misleading I just didn't know how to word it I want to add some amendments to the ffof to give it more nutrients and a healthier soil overall I im also gonna use aact to put some microbes and such into it but I want to add some extra stuff that won't need time to break down before I use it I already have dolomite lime to add but I know it needs more to make it a better soil

Everything needs time to break down or just use nutrients instead. To make "super soil" ...a ridiculous marketing term btw; you'll need to add compost, amendments, and then let it sit for a month or so. I would just use it as is right out the bag & then give AACTs and clean source of water the whole grow. After harvesting amend the soil & recycle it...after doing this several times you'll see the mix get better & better along with your plants.

Yes, you should, at least the lime. Azomite, if you have it, but lime is pretty necessary.

Yes minerals do not need to be cooked in but they do break down very slowly...it can literally take years to become available to your plants. Sure you can add a small amount of lime and azomite if ya want but FFOF should not need much as it is right from the bag. Compost is always good to add in and will enhance any bagged mix. I also would add some extra perlite. I add lime to my recycling mix but I don't consider it essential for a bagged soil if it is fresh. You really need it once your soil has been used up a bit & needs to be recharged. You will need other amendments besides these & the most overlooked ingredient is compost which is what drives everything. Worm castings are the best to use in my exp and you can get them for free if you start a worm bin.
You don't HAVE to add anything at all for your first run if you are using fresh FFOF soil. It's good as is....just transplant to a larger container as the root ball grows larger until you've reached the size you want to flower in. Then flip to bloom & recycle the soil after harvest by adding whatever amendments you wish.

add cow manure, and compost.
only well composted manure.
don't layer anything either.

I used ffof for this run vs my soil mix and the ocean forest mix with added stuff ran out of nitrogen about 4 weeks into bloom. I've been supplementing with kelp and alfalfa and a bit of guano and castings. To be honest If I did it again I would just make my own recipe following one of the ones In the no till thread. My other mix is based off one I found on there and it's doing much better then the ocean forest mix with amendments. The problem is you don't know how much of every ammendment is in the ffof so supplementing it is hard because you don't know what your doubling or also what your missing. Don't get me wrong the plants look great. Nice flowers at 4 weeks but now I'm scrambling to get some more nutrition in the soil to get them to harvest. Either way good luck!

You don't mention compost...kelp and alfalfa are not like nutes. They need to be fed on by microbial life which compost is rich in...it's what drives the soil. To make very active soil it must be recycled a few times and amended with some form of compost to become rich in microbeasters of many types both bacterial and fungal. My mix produced very little for about the first 3 runs; some of the stuff you add now doesn't actually get into the plants for like a year that's why you might want t start with mild organic nutes to get established. Jobes organic spikes can be simply pushed into the soil where roots have not yet gotten to after a transplant and feed for about 6 weeks. AACTs are needed more often when your soil is fresh out the bag. Don't give up it gets better with age.
