How long do you veg before planting outdoors?

The title is the question. Also, what stains do best outdoors given the vegging. Seems like an Auto would do well since it doesn't need vegging. What's this word "frost" - it is usually between 70 and 90 degrees here 52 weeks every year. Thanks in advance.

Lol. Autos, I wouldn't transplant whatsoever.
Where do you live? How big do you want them? There are many factors that play into this question before one can give a good answer. The question is kind of vague. Need more info buddy.....

From seed, about 15 weeks, started in January. Well cared for can reach with plenty of room reach 5# each. If you are planting autos, Start the seeds, and put them in 5 gallon pots. This gives you the potential to get a QP each.

I live where there is sun 365 days a year and the temperatures never falls below 70 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity stays above 60 percent. I planted some seeds I bought (Neville's Haze) and a free Red Purp and some seeds a local guy gave me. I ended up with five females and two males, I'm allowed to have seven plants for personal use. I tried to veg them for the first month but had to move from where I was living to one place and to where I am now. Sunlight became 12/12. The females immediately began creating buds. All plants were started in one gallon and transplanted to five gallon. The medium was ProGrow (big mistake); I added a bag of Fox Farm when I did the transplant. All my plants are puny. I rent so I can't plant in the ground but if I could would all the females start the bloom cycle without vegging? I just want big buds. I can't afford to grow a 12 foot sativa. The neighbors, landlord, one TSA roommate and local cops would have a fit. If that is not enough information then "F" it.

How do you keep a minimum of 18 hours of sunlight on them any time of the year? The females go into bloom in a 12/12 environment and that is about what I have here. Can't clone them because they were too little and they already had buds. It sucks. My indoor grow was under my control but the electricity was .35 cent a KWH and my month bill was too high. How do you get them up to about a foot or more and then put them outside without artificial light?? Thanks.

if the sun is 12/12 in your area at the moment there is no way you can keep it in veg without artificial lighting cause it's needs 18/6, you will need to have it outside during the day for The 12 hours bring it in as the sun goes down give it 6 hours of artificial light to make up the 18 then put it back outside for the sun to rise onto it and continue to do that until you wanna flower it then leave it outside, but by that time the outdoor 12/12 won't be there anymore so you will need to do it in reverse by only letting it sit in the sun for 12 hours then put it away somewhere dark for 12hours then bring it back out, my best advice is to plant earlier in the season for you so it can veg longer before the outdoor light cycle reaches 12/12

Well, if you're not going to provide extra light for them. Your grow is kind of a waste. Dont take that as a bad thing. Learn from this grow.
When growing outdoors, you'd want to start them early indoors if possible around the beginning of april. You need to read up on the light cycle/schedule for your area. Most go by the rule of thumb. Starts seeds on 4/20...

And if you do plan to start a bunch of autos. You'll still need more light then what is being provided outside. If not. Your autos will look the same or smaller than the ones you ha e going.

I live close to the equator - closest state to the equator. I tried to do that the first month but had to move from the premises (bad vibes). I was afraid you or someone would say move them. Roommate is not too keen (or that's what the landlord said) about marijuana. I forget what the dark 12 hours is for but that will be a challenge here where it is always sunny. Thanks.

For a plant to flower properly it needs 12 hours of light and 12 hours of pure darkness without that it won't flower properly

I also live in the same area as you.(florida) Anything outdoors right now would need more light to veg. Sounds to me you'll end up with more hassle and less product at this point.

I think the Red Purp is an auto but I will have to google that one. I do have some auto seeds I could start. There are two males in this group (not pictured) and maybe they would produce some seeds.

I live 6,000 miles from Florida and there is way too much sun here without SPF-50 lotion.

Males will produce pollen. Not seeds. My best advice for you with the information you've provided and the questions you have, is get your hands on a grow book. There are a couple out there that are easy to read and understand. This is by no means me cutting you down or being negative towards you. But I feel like you're lacking some of the basics. Spend the winter time to read and learn. Then next summer you'll be ready to rock!

Nice! I hear ya on the SPF-50! My parents have a place in Aruba. Tried my hand at growing there. Was a bust from heat and lack of care. Planted some while there for 2 weeks. Came back 6 months later. 2 made it. But just crisped as shit....

When you said "closest state" to the equator, I put that with Florida speaking in terms of north America. 6000 miles? Hawaii?
