Ah.. but yes he did. Married 8 years but still doesn't get it. There's a lot that's just not sunk in. He decided to have this discussion about his Saturday plans to leave me alone with his mom while I was at work AVOIDING THEM

Eta; I see I didn't mention that his mom and I have never really gotten along. I think the entire maternal side of his family is kookoo for cocoa puffs. He knows his mom doesn't like me and I don't like her. The reason I'm upset is that he didn't think of me, at all. And honestly even if his mom was okay with him fucking off to play cards with the bros it was not okay. She drove out here, from MAINE, and he felt like spending one of the 3 days she was here doing what he does every. Single. Saturday.

Before you risk life in prison you might want to mention to him that you have a multitude of admirers on rollitup.org from which to choose.

Just a thought.

You know there's a lot of jokes that can be made. Like, why would you piss off your wife with the large knife collection? I'm not going to literally murder the guy. But damn I'm really disappointed, and I hope the scale of my feelings this time changes how he approaches this situation in the future. This is not the first time he's dumped me with his family members to go do something else without me. I raised a colossal stink about his habit of doing that when we went to Maine to check on his dad, because he seems to like to do that to me every time we go. His cards buddies begged me not to do anything drastic, I might have been blowing up his buddies wife's phone asking her to throw shit at him while he plays

Until I saw this edit I thought they were (foolishly) conspiring for you to bond together, but clearly not. I hope you can make him see the light.

So I'm really good at dog trick training. Some dogs are really smart and will pick up on a desired behavior with only a few repetitions. Some dogs are stupid and need quite a lot of patience, practice, and lots of repetitions.

@Minnegrowta you might want to keep the RH around 55 to 60% to prevent your buds from drying too quickly which causes hay smell and harshness. Good on you guys for leaving the fans leaves on to envelop the buds, which will also help maintain a steady and slower dry. :)
I'm aiming for a humidity crash

This was recommended practice by a friend in Denver that works in a cannabis lab.

The goal is 80% by 7 to 10 days

I'm not gonna lie, either I'm sick or the plants in my house are doing it. Are they supposed to smell so... chemically? I've had a huge non-stop headache and sore throat since they came in.
The smell can be overwhelming and maybe even sickening to the vulnerable, but I've never gotten a headache or sore throat. Maybe it's possible that you're sick from something else and associating it with the strong smell.

Wtf. Cannabis emits VOCs?? How am I only just learning about this?? I was beginning to think I had like, covid or something, but every symptom I have goes down the list for volatile organic compounds exposure.

This is exactly why I couldn't be near my house when we started using primer. Flu symptoms. The VOCs. I had to find crunchy granola hippy nature safe paint to use instead.

well you are literally drying over 1kg of aromatic plants in your room its a normal reaction.

can i ask why are you drying with 40% humidity?

My mother was a florist for 23 years and I never had an issue in her flower shop, this is something else.

"So most guides on cure will tell you to go slow with the humidity reduction, but recent research has shown that a quick crash in humidity to like 40% rh and then a slow cure is best to reduce the chance of increased mold and yeast counts" - text message from Denver lab guy. This person is my husband's childhood best friend, he's been working in the cannabis industry since it was legalized there, so I guess I figured I should use his advice.

That sounds very reasonable. Makes sense you'd want to lower the humidity early on. I've had several pounds drying/curing at once and I get used to it although it really stinks up the place. Guests complain but some of them are just whiners whose prejudice against pot is likely a factor. Everybody's system is different so you may want to set up a tent outdoors for drying if that's your only option.

I'm doing this for the moment while I sort my options. Not gonna lie, I'm 50% to throwing it all outside. I feel really unwell. I'm not mentally handling the idea of feeling this way for weeks
