2 strips per shelf would be better IMO.
Thanks. Trying to figure out how our group will do about 1 million hemp seedlings between now and next May in 12,000 sq feet of nice greenhouses plus maybe some extra outdoor greenhouses. How do you keep seedlings as seedlings for about 7 months?

Trays will hold 78 seedlings. Maybe 5 trays per shelf. 4 shelves per cart. 1560 per cart. This would mean 641 racks. 2564 LED strips. the racks The lights would cost $51,286. The racks $31,409. 89,740 watts of electricity. That is not gonna work. We will need sunlight from greenhouse and at night supplemental lights.

You're gonna have to have 2 sections, they won't stay seedlings forever lol for real though I worked somewhere that had this issue. Their way ended with root bound plants growing into the ground, didn't realize how fast they had to transplant.. try setting up something where you have 2 start times, it'll give you time to organize. Months 1,3,5,7 and months 2,4,6 .. instead of all of them transplant and moved one after one try to set up the process in small increments so you have time and space to get everything in order. Even a couple weeks instead of months may help with the workload. If you're planting outdoors use this time to dig holes accordingly. Hope that helps
