Help please!!

My friend had a plant that he gave me. It has great genetics and is only about a foot tall. It is budding like crazy and has purple hairs on it. My problem is this, it has been in a pot and placed oUtside the whole time. I wanted to put it inside under a light because the sunshine is so weak right now. However, I only have a 1000 watt Gallaxy with a Euro hood and a 6 bulb flor light. My 1000 watt light can be reduced to 400 watts but for this little plant it is a lot of light but I have 2700 with it. The florescent light is 6500 but would be so much easier to use. If I went with the florescent light, would I be screwing up?

I will take whatever info someone has to offer but I went ahead and set up my 1000 watt light and set it on 400. I had another 400 watt light but with just a reflector and the heat was pretty intense. A hood makes a HUGE difference with the heat. My only question now would be "Would I gain a lot more if I went up to 600 or even a 1000 watts? And will this speed up my flowering ?" Thanks for any help out there.

You'd be fine with any light so long as the plant is not close enough to burn and the light not to far away for its wattage.
More light does not equal faster flower. Less day time/longer night will hasten maturity but you will sacrifice yield if done incorrectly.
Id say, dont worry about trying to flower faster, just get a faster flowering strains >.>

You're good with the 400 watt, I definitely wouldn't use the 6500k if you're flowering already. Just be sure to place the light high enough so that it doesn't burn the plant. About 1-2 feet should be fine.
