On Paper;
Scorpio Diablo
Photontek S600W Pro
PHANTOM Photobio-MX
Honorable mention goes out to Mars Hydro FC6500. On paper it outshines Photontek and Phantom. They all have 5 year warrantees. price wise the Scorpion runs 1200 ish, while the other two sit around 1000. Mars sits at 800. I don't know much about Phantom and Photontek other than that they are good solid companies with good solid lights. Mars Hydro has really stepped up their game, and Lastly HLG is rock solid! You cant go wrong with any choice, If your snobbish on Chinese products go with HLG. If not Mars can save you some coin.

I'd say straight for the scorpion if your getting it from hlg. The new Samsung Evo diodes they use is a one up on any other light mfer (except invisible sun and growlights Australia which also have something similar in place) : it broadens the blue peak all the way down to 435nm which is a chloropeak aswell as a transpiration peak in the action spectrum. If it's just another 400 compared to the cheapo option I'd say it's a no-brainer. You can always get more light by using more power. But you cannot change the spectrum of your light. If someone offers you more light per watt AND better spectrum seems like the way to go.

Buying from my local grow shop. The scorpion is like $1250. The other are $850. On paper they are all pretty close but been hearing rave reviews on the hlg. Just not sure if it's worth the extra $400

I did some research, took some time & wound up buying some no name stuff got 1,100w LED, mix of Samsung LM301b & lm301h chips w/ Meanwell drivers for less than that Scorpion Diablo.

Thanks Rocket, I wasn't aware how different the new Evo diode is. I assumed it was just a little better efficacy but I'm impressed with 3.11, not to mention the improved spectrum.
Soon I'll just HAVE TO upgrade to GLA or HLG.

Just read the blurb and from what growmau5 said on the gml show, it seems like they are already mixing this with a regular 450nm blue pump in order to widen the blue bump.

I would defo make sure you get the new version, if it's been there for a while it could be the old one. Which is still great and what your great reviews were based on. But if you can get both better spectrum and efficiency I'd try for it.

the scorpion has to be ordered so I would assume it would be the newer version but will make sure if I get it it is.the other 2 he has in stock Do you think it's worth the Xtra $.
He was definitely trying to push what he has in stock. He said the HLG has 3 year warranty the others 5 year.
