Heat and cheap lamps

Hi all. I have been using a combo of MH and HPS for all my grows since the 80s. I bought some el cheapos LED's to try. They give no heat really to speak of and that actually was a bonus with the MH/HPS I could adjust the height and get perfect temps with aid of small fan too ( minus at night ). My basement is 50 degrees most of the year ( winter maybe 45 ). So, sorry back to my question since there is no heat off the LED's I added a reptile ceramic heater 150W with small fan so everything combined is not much power. What does everyone else do for heat with LED's IF your in a situation where temps are only 50? And is it even worth it to use those cheap things? Rather maybe I could just use a 500W MH for a while til they get larger, currently all I have is a 750W MH and a 1000W HPS.

One quick and dirty solution would be a putting in something incandescent in there, like a lightbulb or some halogen spots. Watch out for stretch if you do too many watts though.
Or some heater and adapting the grow space so it wont lose too much heat

Hard to say about the cheap LEDs, what brand and model? It's probably lower wattage and that means less heat. A heat mat can really help by keeping the roots warmer, but HID might be the way to go.

What size tent or open space area? Your 750 MH won't work if raised up?

MH and HPS, Works great, just trying to save electricity this time. Tent can be adjusted, but its a full basement, 30X25. lol Basically stays 70-72 with just the MH 750 in there. One lamp. Two lamps same thing just gotta tweak the tent size. Thanks.

If the space is big enough you can have your HIDs hanging and with led strips in between or around the sides. Turn on/off or dim according to seasons.
Id probably go for MH and some kinda of warmwhite+reds led for this. Or CMH.
