Having the house appraised...

Do they need to come in to the house and look through every room? Or do they just walk around the exterior? I'm freaking out about this shit.

They will more than likely have to walk around the outside and through every room in house. I'm not 100% sure about this, but to give a proper estimate I would assume so.

If you are growing in a spare room that has a door, put a padlock on that door and tell the inspector you rented the room out for storage to a marine serving in Afganistan and you don't have the key. Make sure you can't smell anything and all lights are turned off.

Last time I had an inspector, I had a few pounds on the drying line. Had to move it all out to a neighbors until inspection was done.

Unless you are renting from someone, them mother fuckers don't need to go to all the rooms, if they with the government FUCK THEM! It's your house, your estimate might be less, but fuck it, appraisers an real estate agents are like used car salesmen anyway

why you say that, just move your grow, and find out what day he is showing up. but i like Bugeyes idea best
I have two that are in their 5th week of flower that are about three feet tall, and two in veg that are almost a foot tall. They're coming tomorrow for a refinance. Not sure where I can discretely put a couple of three footers that stink to high hell, and all my setup. They are in tents and it doesn't stink in the room they're in. We have a lot of other plants (veggies) out in the garden, so I'm wondering if I can pass it off as veggie tents. Crap, that sounds insane.

Are there any woods around? you could lay them in your car if you got them in pots, throw a blanket over them. they will stress a bit but it should work

They'll need to see all rooms, perhaps a closet or two wld be the only rooms you can physically steer an appraiser away from. good luck.

I have a van, so id put em in that. rent a uhaul
I have a toolbox on my truck that they may fit in if I lay them sideways. If I leave my tents up will that cause suspicion do you suppose? Like I said we have a lot of normal garden plants outside, so they may think nothing of it.

Yes, stick a few of your garden plants inside the tent.

For a refinance, they are definitely going to want to spend a good deal of time looking all over the house: attic (for insulation and/or heating/ac, basement (if you have one), and all the rooms. As long as you are not obviously growing and you can completely disguise anything that can be seen or smelled, you should be ok. After all, their concern is the condition of the home you want to refinance. Unless they're just dicks and want to make trouble for you they shouldn't really be looking at/for anything else. That said, if it was me I would move/clean/make invisible EVERYTHING. But I'm a worrier. :)

is your grow in a tent or a room... If in a room simply tell them your growing roses or delicate flowers that cannot be disturbed. I tell my Orkin guy that every time he comes. but he's none the wiser considering i have over 150 items growing around my home inside and out
