Have you ever been betrayed?

At least your friends gave you a reason to hate them. My best friend, whom I considered a brother, one day just didn't return my calls or texts...for a year.

Turns out he had some kind of breakdown...thought he was some Mormon prophet and was talking to god. Decided he wanted to live in the woods for 3 months and get with Mormonism. Now that he's back in reality..we have nothing in common at all. He's a strict Mormon. I lost my best friend to a fake religion. It's a bad situation. We spent every day almost for 7 years together. Like I said. Brothers.

Is he just completely gone, like all about Mormonism? What's he say when you explain how reality works, I'm just curious?

Well, this is just a random question...Just wanna know if you guys have also experienced being betrayed, especially by a friend? What did you do?How did you cope with it?:-(
being betrayed by someone whom you have trusted can really hurt..but if you will linger on it for a longer period, you will just end up as the loser...forget it girl...wrap those bad things up and throw them all away..and you'll see life will be better off now that they are no longer part of it...you will just waste your pretty face fretting over those things;)

cheer up!we have to look as fabulous always, all the time! :D

100% devote Mormon. Goes to a BYU School now. Leaving on his mission in like September. No tea (which we drank all the time baked), no cigs (which is how he learned to roll...I never smoked) coffee or weed. No video games. No sports. Nothing but church and church people. He dwells a lot on how things used to be before he was Mormon like he misses it.

I've showed him proof...and he says doubt is what makes faith stronger. He's fucking goooooone.

I'm sorry man.. The frustration must be intense. And it sucks because he's completely engulfed in it, like, you couldn't both just agree to keep that out of the conversation and remain friends.

It is a huge bummer. Mainly because Mormonism is such a bullshit religion. I mean at least be a Christian or Buddhist. Something with a little more history and not stacks of shit disproving every aspect of the religion. Ugh. If only he didn't try and offer you books of Mormon when you see him.

Sealight my man, I feel for you. Not too many things dirtier than a Vaj that dicks you over for another dick. Peace
Ok, so i'm in france, livin in a host family, i get with this chick at my party, 25 friends over, i spend almost my whole night with her, being really nice. We fuck and shit, telling me how we should date afterwards, we kiss, I was really drunk and she put me to bed. I wake up, find out she fucked my host brother after i passed out. I'm really close with my host bro too. Ouch.

Moral of this story: Fuck Bitches, Get Money.

yes i have been betrayed by a best friend who decided to hang with new, cool jock or whatever. that was so long a ago, i was a fucking kid then..i felt angry and felt just pure hate !
not long ago i was double crossed by a greedy partner....that shit did not felt good..it got me depressed some time, but i let it go and now i am over that shit !
but my views of life have changed because of those encounters with people...i realized that so many people have just lost the ability to be generous...
betrayal sucks, it makes me a shittier person, that i do not like at all, and it is not my fault even ! i try to be a good person, but damn, ppl try to take advantage of it, to benefit themselves.

bad things do happen in life and there might be people who will hurt us in one way or another,..but one thing ive learned is that people are not the same..there might be some who will betray us but there will still be those who can be loyal more than what we can think...and about finding a nice girl,,you shouldn't close your mind to the fact that they might betray you...there are still nice girls..they exist...all you just need to do is to open your heart and mind to the possibilities of finding one...:)

If you want my simplistic explanation... I believe that betrayal is nothing more than having an expectation of someone that outweighs their personal gains. Ultimately every relationship has two sides where both people gain something, may it be based on genuine companionship or personal gain, only time will tell, but ultimately every time you are let down it hopefully makes you appreciate the people who truly have your back. I realize that is an overly optimistic approach to it, but as much as it hurts to feel like you knew someone and to completely trust someone, why beat yourself up over it. Hopefully you were true to who you are through the entire situation, and if not ask yourself why, but tomorrow still comes. Life goes on day after day, until one day it doesn't, but why be afraid.

I believe that there is a polarity to everything and you must try to see both sides before you can move forward, as you cannot be ruled by anger or lust, but instead find serenity somewhere in the middle

I know that is difficult as well, but my moral compass and conscious weighs heavy on my decisions and although I am not perfect, I continuously challenge myself to become a better person.

You talk about your best friend betraying you and your mom's words of wisdom, well my mom was ultimately the one who betrayed me most in my life. I grew up in a broken family like most people of our generation and unfortunately I thought that conforming to my mom's expectations would be the best way to create as little animosity within the household as possible. Unfortunately through the process I lost sight of who I was as a person. Through reflection I realized that by meeting her demands I only allowed her to set higher expectations of me, but she never got to know the real me, as I had yet to discover who I was. Not until college was I able to come into my own as a person, but I felt I had lost many years of my life. Ultimately, through repeat failed attempts at expressing who I am as a person and what I stand for in life a rift was created that took us to the point of not speaking to each other anymore. Add in a lying, controlling, manipulative, digressive step-father and the situation led to me finding a new home, but as a result I got to know my father better.

I know a short synopsis of a life does not depict an understanding, but thus is my point; Every person has their own perspective of reality, what you believe to be true is ultimately true to you, thus there is no absolute truth unless everyone agrees accordingly. However, since no two people have ever experienced life in the same manor, as that would mean they would have had to live the exact same life at the exact same time, no one will ever truly understand your perspective. The challenge in life is having the audacity to be you, regardless of the people surrounding you and ultimately you will attract friends of like kind. As your friends are nothing more than a reflection of who you are, which is why you trust them more so than strangers.

bad things do happen in life and there might be people who will hurt us in one way or another,..but one thing ive learned is that people are not the same..there might be some who will betray us but there will still be those who can be loyal more than what we can think...and about finding a nice girl,,you shouldn't close your mind to the fact that they might betray you...there are still nice girls..they exist...all you just need to do is to open your heart and mind to the possibilities of finding one...:)
But as you said, all you need to do is open your heart and mind to the possibilities of find one. To every situation there is the choice of yes or no. To which you did or did not ultimately led you to where you are today and thus where you may be tomorrow. So why close a door before it is even open through a negative attitude.

But its like saying I get so hurt when people betray me so I`m not going to be friends with anyone. Why not change that to I don`t get hurt when people betray me?

Joy is best lived together dude, don`t isolate yourself just because some people are dicks... Check peoples history and get them talking, I`m the guy who goes back to the till and tells them they made a mistake and has them telling me I should of just walked away :) Peace out :D

I was betrayed by a kid I watched grow up. I knew him for 10 years. I think I developed a tough skin after a while but it doesn't stop me from trusting ppl because it's my nature to trust and my light shines pretty bright.
