Hash/butter stock ? I GOTTA KNOW!

I have about 1.5 to 2 lbs of trim from my last harvest, only problem is it was neglected and left in a rubbermaid tote leaving the bottom layer to get kinda mushy and probobly a little moldy. What I'm wondering is can I still make hash, or butter with this stuff or do I toss it in the garbage. I'd hate to think that 2 lbs of really nice trim goes to waste, I mean this stuff is so damn sticky when I grab a handfull my hand looks like swamp thing. Very trichome covered trim. Any help on this would be nice.

Yeah, I wouldn't risk getting anyone sick with mold spores, or some kind of fungus. Better trash it.
