A cloth wallet with no prints? Cops will put it back? I think somebody needs to cut back on the weed. Because cops don't give fuckall about a wallet with $5, they will immediately cut the plants down and call the county news for a photo-op. A weed pirate will take the weed, the wallet, and the money. Christ, some of the comments on this site are straight out of a cartoon.
your overthinking this, ALOT- i know people who will pin up a 20$ bill at there spot months before planting. if the cash is still there, its very likely no one has stumbled upon your spot... but leaving a wallet on the ground by your plants is stupid and if someone found your plants, the wallet, $ and your plants would be gone. i think it is only useful if you havnt planted yet.

This will tell you if anyone travels to your spot, beacuse if i was walking through the bush, found 20$- id take it, if i found $20 and some plants, i wouldnt touch either.

once you are growing, you shouldnt leave anything at your spot. you should know if someone has been there.

Sense? The plants were in the middle of a corn field, easily spotted. That type of grow is meat for LEO. The grower is missing in action for close to two weeks now. Those plants are gone for sure.
yea, sense, granted it was a stupid spot to put them, i wouldnt go out chopping them down bc a plane circled a few times, that bad advice imo. if u feel the heats rising, and are getting worried, dnt go see them for a little while, just hang back observe the area from a distance periodically, be observant. its not on his property and cant be linked to him unless he's there at the site, with evidence of him cultivating it. you guys are saying the the guy in the plane for sure saw it, when u dnt know thats true. it was the around the third week in august when u guys said this, and the buds were barely anything, even if there were any. Id rather have cops or rippers get my super premature ass buds, then me cut them down outta of shear paranoia, and bc some ppl on the internet said so, and then never know if u couldve of finished them. my best guess is he gotted ripped, and just isnt gonna bother coming on, as someone already said. after harvest,i rarely rarely get on RIU, if at all. its a grow forum, if im not growing y get on

Well, that's you. I say you have to apply game theory to outdoor growing. If your grow has been spotted, it is as good as gone. At that point, you can either pull the crop or attempt to re-plant it elsewhere. If you allow a spotted crop to continue growing where it is, then you are deliberately feeding cops/weed pirates. Because they are going to pull it before you do, period. And guess what? They'll be back next year, and in greater numbers. They will also as a matter of course search every inch of the surrounding area in the hope of finding more plants.

thats the thing, theres not certainty that the grow was spotted, why rip ur own grow bc u think it was spotted. let the paranoia run when u harvest, and every time a helicopter or plane flies low by ur plot, well gotta go harvest them bc theyre as good as gone. No, thats a ridiculous mindset. ive had helicopters fly nearly rite over my plants a few times this year, and they didnt see a damn thing. I cant imagine many of your outdoor grows have seen through to the end.

If you will read the entire thread, you will see where the OP states that an aircraft was observed circling the grow. A flyover means nothing; circling means they spotted it and are examining it more closely to see just what is going on and also to get a fix on the location. The guy might as well have painted a big sign, "Illegal Marijuana Growing Here".

You are biased as your own county has an obviously inferior eradication program. Those buckets you use are hardly discreet. Furthermore, I think you benefit greatly from vegetation coloration that blends in nicely with what you are doing.

Stop replying to this "little know it all" because it is apparent his mind is already made up. Not worth the gamble especially after you say "a pilot circled multiple times" (Barry Cooper recommends abandon and never come back) . Ryandoe11 has been here on earth for 21 years he knows best. He deserves to go to jail and I would not be a least bit surprised if he does.

In Western VA the national guard/ sherrifs focus on searching large farms first before doing the random fly abouts. And in the last year I know of a man who was busted because "someone" had placed a herb plant on his farm without his knowledge. They busted him and tried to throw the book at him. Ill see if I can find the article.

I forgot he got off in jury trial... What a lucky Mfer, had it been me I would still be under the jail.... Hard to beilieve he could beat it.

Good article. I can't believe the money wasted on 2 pot plants. If the police have the time and money to fly helicopters around and bust a guy with TWO plants in his cornfield , then they have too much time on their hands and too high of a budget. If you count everything, from the helicopter fuel to the officers pay to the court costs, I would not be surprised if this who incident cost the taxpayers of that county $100,000. With that money we could have employed two teachers for a year and still had money left over.

choppers and planes are looking for large grows..not a half dozen plants..you are fine..and I was not breaking your balls..I was serious//I have no idea when corn finishes or if that is your land..I wanted to grow a few in the farm field down the street..but there is just too much shit going on in there..huge ass sprinkler systems and people fucking around in there...i seen people tying red and orange tags on the corn..inspectors? who knows..but if it is your property it is all good.
Those people with the orange and red tags were probably a group of corn detasselers. The field in the picture wont have any cause the field was not planted for it. A field for corn detasseling would have big enough space between rows of corn to walk through.

Just hope the farmer doesn't find it. I think thats like the only person that would find them.

Two teachers for a year? In my area, you could probably employ 4-5 of them for that sum. But it would still be a waste of tax dollars, school spending is on a level of bloatation right up there with defense spending. How about a tax refund instead? Nobody ever thinks about that, do they?

As for Mr. Doe, he clearly didn't get so much as a bag of schwag out of this cornfield grow. If he had succeeded, you can bet your ass the arrogant bastard would be on RIU thumping his chest about it. But he FUCKED IT. That's cool, failure is the best teacher. Find another place to grow because whoever took it will be back next year for sure.
