Hi guys, my Perlite is turning green. I am in coco, watering until run off daily. 1 liter plant pots. I'm guessing it's algae and it's not a problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks dude, so it will be ok with the Green stuff growing on the surface? It won't cause any problems? It's just a combination of constant wetness and light exposure. Not harmful at all.
You can cover the pot with a paper plate or something, to block it from the light. That will prevent the mossy perlite.
Nah not at all. If anything, it's additional nutrients, lolThanks dude, so it will be ok with the Green stuff growing on the surface? It won't cause any problems?

Here's a solo cup I have going, went and snapped a pic of it. You can see some green perlite. Not a big deal at all.
Thanks for the advice dude, I scraped the top layer of coco off today and then watered them until run off and added more coco on topIf you want to get rid of it, you have to water the whole top surface each time, auto feed can easily cause this if not set up to do so, with adding h2o2 or pool shock to your feed. I used 1ml per gallon with success with h2o2.
I would to prevent algae but also so it don’t grow out of control. I read they can effect plants. Up to you, just noting how to get rid of it. Harder to get rid of in advanced stages, better to start with the h202 in beginning.
You could scape a layer off for a head start and possibly cover it with more coco.
