This is my 4th grow, still got so much to learn so i figured I start this journal so I can get help as I go with this grow.

I'm using a grow tent size of 4x4x6 but its turned sideways making it 4x6x4
Soil is FFOF and COCO, its close to 50-50 mix
Nutes are fox farm
CalMag
600 Watt hood light
324watt EnviroGro T5
135 watt LED lighthouse Hydro Blackstar

G13 Haze is 4 Weeks OLD
Trainwreck is 3 Weeks OLD

I do know that the plants looks super small and thats because I didnt give them any nutes until yesterday, because i overwatered G13 a week ago and had to wait for it to dry out which really slowed everything down and plus I was using pHin the water and my soil was a bit compact....lessons learned lol

Picture of the tent is few days old when the tent was a mess,
But you can kind of get the idea what i'm thinking about doing, the screen is just there right now but i will lower it once plants are ready.20141202_162545.jpgWeek 3.jpg

The plants are about month old now and finally growing a lot faster ever since i change the light to MH
I will be giving them water tomorrow after 4 days. with half strength nutes.
Btw they have been topped once already and the new growth is coming up.

Question:
I'm doing scrog so what exactly do I need to do with LST before they reach the screen? Just keep training them? Or let them loose in few weeks? My goal is to fill up about 70% of the 3.5x6ft screen with these.
Also I will be repotting them into their final pots in few weeks once they get a little bigger.
My goal here is one pound from these two plants and I have a feeling I'm gonna veg them for a long long time. BTW I have topped them twice already and wondering if I should top them again in like 2 weeks.

Temps been 75-80 and humidity has be 40-55%
Been feeding them full strength ff nutes, with cal/mag and pH of 6.5

Any tips? I would appreciate them

Just let them grow to the screen. topping them just slows them down. If your looking for a large yield you better get some big pots. I grow under a screen and don't top at all. Just tie them over so the main and the side branches come up relatively even and then weave under the screen.

Yes I have 5 gallon containers that I'm using as pots. They rectangular shape and about 10 inches tall maybe 12 because I don't have much head room. And I topped one the main and then topped the two branches under the first topped place, if it makes sense. But yea no more topping now and just let them grow, BTW should I keep training them or let them grow loose and reach the screen? And how high should I set up the screen from soil?

Your 4th grow and about a month old?
SHOCKING!
you are doing something very wrong
stop playing and do at least one grow right!
FFOF is way too hot, dilute that with 33% perlite
avoid the nute 'holding' coco, and the calmag will be required by week 09 at the earliest
ensure you use a mostly vegging light during veg, 60/40
above all see the 12 week grow to my blog:

I think I normally do about 18" but i usually do stuff that's a bit sativa leaning. those look pretty indica so might want to go a bit lower.
That looks like a pretty good guide the Angry red guy posted. I do mostly hydro but i sex my regular seeds in dirt, take clones and then run the females in hydro and throw the mothers away. I'll give you my formula. buy some roots organic potting soil. get a big pot and fill it and plant your plant. get a little cheapo moister meter from home depot. Check daily and when the meter reads in the red water. They're usually a 24-30" pretty quickly. I don't feed them at all and have never had deficiencies. You might want to give them some C/M since your going to finish flowering them out and you don't want hollowed out stems.

Keep it simple and make changes a little at a time. A lot of newer growers mess with the plants too much and do more harm than good. If i were you id ditch the screen and grow more than two plants. The smaller plants will be more forgiving and you can try some different things and see what works for you. The big screened plants have a lot of mass and don't have much margin for error. Plus with only those two if you screw up you lose everything.

So I transplanted them today into 5 gallons and watered them full strength.
Temps been stable around 75-77 and humidity around 50%
I'm not training them anymore, just going to let them grow and stretch so they can hit the screen asap.

So I don't know whats been going on but this grow has been really slow, they are almost two damn months old and looking half their size, I did stunt the growth for almost week and half by over watering. Been doing everything right I think, especially nutes, temps, ph and humidity. Lights are 24/7 and thinking if I should put them on 18/6?

Well....its been slow because of the state your plants where in 4 weeks ago and your using soil, and you stunted them again overwatering (2+2 = 4 weeks stunted....). They look MUCH better! Great job on sticking with it and turning it around. Its going to take time to bounce back from the state they where in 4 weeks ago....but they are well on their way!

You're buckets are too big, they aren't growing fast because they look saturated, those should be in 2 gallon buckets. Saturated roots = slow growth. I don't expect those thick plastic bins breath well either. Just get some normal planters next time.

If you wanted speed you should have gone 100% coco or dwc, or a tray. I think that's your biggest issue, your trying to mix/match, and rush everything, and, well, this is the result of trying to do that in soil (not to mention having a bad start). Soil is just slower than hydroponics, its going to take them longer to bounce back.

If I where you I would take clones and flower as soon as you can to recover all the lost time. Pot the clones in coco and go the hydroponic route. Follow the instructions and make sure you ph!! I hand feed mine, and only do 2 plants, its very manageble. I use 5 1 gallon used water jugs and just mix those sunday, then just water from those all week. Its simple, easy and cheap. Rinse and repeat.

At 1 month veg you should have 3 foot bushes easly trainable. I do 2 months veg and do trees, for a 3x3x9 space 2 trees fit nicely with 600 watter. Then you wont have a problem filling that trellis!

Good luck!
