They are not on the side of right, not there for justice; not an honest citizen.
How can we trust the cops?
They lie to us - and make it illegal for us to lie to them.
They lead us into temptation, like the snake in the Garden of Eden.
"You can talk to me, trust me."
Then, when you finally say something that doesn't match to their truth, you are lying, and will do five years in jail ... unless you plead guilty to this over here and then you'll only do two years.
