Depending on the strain it looks like it could be either.
Do u think u could get any closer pics.
Seems like the hairs r turnig colors but r they receiding into the bud?

What strain is it?
How many days in 12/12???
Remember- start counting days to harvest from when they start to bud- not day 1 of 12/12-- it is what the breeders say to go by! If you had a light leak- I'd still start checking them with a scope to see if the trichomes are headed-up around day 50 of flower... day 70 if it is a longer finishing strain.

WHY did you remove the fan leaves? They are what feed your plant!! They ned those to do their photosynthesis.. removing them will mean slower grow and smaller yields...
they also appear to have a nutrient deficiency (the burn areas & browning pistils) and possibly mite damage????

What do you feed them, at what rate & how often?
What soil are they in?
What is the pH of the water you use and the nutrient solution you use?

You need to get a microscope and check the trichomes.
It is impossible (regardless of what people my try to say) for us to know if a plant is ready from pictures, unless it is through a usb microscope. It is impossible for you to know if it is ready without looking at the trichomes through a scope. Any other way is a complete guessing game and you can be far off depending on strain. I have seen plants that looked past ready that were not and I have seen plants that appeared to have weeks to go that were past their peak.

the tall one is jorge's diamonds#1 and has 8-9 weeks to finish, the small one is silver cheese and has 9-11 weeks it's a sativa dominant. So you say start counting when hairs appeared? Then it must be around day 43.i know my crop will be small cause of heat stress mostly, defoliation also(i defoliated during flowering and plants were stunted for 5 days, could also that have delayed the flowering process?) I can't also understand why my small plant is so small.. it's a sativa dominant 75-25, it should be tall right? dunno about the hairs turning colour, maybe from my led light..?

I was gonna say the same about checkin the trichs.
One of my girls is was only at about day 45 flowering when i first checked her and she is about 30%-40% cloudy on the buds and more on the leaves.

In my next grow i will propably pass defoliation :wall:, i feed with biogrow and biobloom from biobizz currently about 1 ml/lt grow and 4 ml/lt biobloom. i am giving them a pinch of epsom salt every three weeks,i also feed molasses. I made the newbie mistake and didn't added any perlite with my soil, so i am watering-feeding every 4-5 days when soil is dry. the soil was good quality with ph 6,1. I don't ph,i use tap water left for some days

The plant is ready when you are happy with it, and enjoy it most its a personal thing, perhaps like how folk like their eggs or how well a steak is cooked

best thing to do it take samples throughout the grow, from perhaps 7 weeks onward this hands on approach is much more fun
you can then decide when to harvest your plant via direct personal testing

personally i like calyx to fatten up hard before i harvest i like as much of a full bodied taste as possible
when you are sampling your bud you can look at it through your spy glass and pretend you are a scientist too if you wish

the only logical reason i can think of for letting the spy glass alone decide when to harvest, is if you are going to strip all the thc from the plant matter
and discard the plant matter, if you are going to smoke or consume the buds, then the consistency of the buds (plant matter/calyx /pistils) is of importance too
i do very much appreciate a good tasting bud, for me THC content is not the only important factor to consider
i would keep a good tasting strain over a more potent bad tasting one

i do not like beer that much, but i do prefer the medium alcohol content beer or export strength 5% vol
rather than the 9-10% strong beers

maybe folks that consume bud only for a medicine and not for pleasure do not care what it taste like, they only care about THC ?
each to their own

peace

You can fix the problems you made for the next grow. Experience learned I would take it as. Without checking the trichs and going by clear cloudy amber you wont be able to figure out where its at and how long to be ready. I find that early harvest is a heady product and the longer it sits the darker the trichs the harsher the body buzz. Don't forget the next stage is important to clear the chlorifil drying and curing is important in my opinion. Cheese I find picky with conditions and stunting is always a problem with mine....AP gold was the at least worry free with densest chronic so far.
