Feeding

I'm using fox farm ocean forest soil, which is great. When it comes to feeding my girls with nutes, should I go along with what is recommended on my chart or go half the nutes since the soil is so rich in nutes?

Help me understand

I'm not a soil grower so hopefully someone else can chime in but as a general rule mate, start low with nutes and add more over time. Less is more. The last thing you want is nute burn and lockout.

ffof ( fox farm ocean forest ) contains nutrients to last the plant 3-4 weeks so you shouldn't even need to feed until then. you also add nutrients slowly not by the recommendations.

have you ever cooked before? if you have and you added salt it's basically the same concept. adding little at a time is better then adding a shit load of salt all at once because it's easier to add more salt but it's harder to fix what you've fked up. trust me im a cook for a living i've made that mistake MANY times especially when i cook a new dish.

i've used fox farm nutrients and i've done the bottle measurements just to test it out with a feed, water, feed schedule. plants ended up with some really bad nitrogen toxicity. i've even gone half as well with that same schedule still too much. i'd got 1/4th or less. to start. with my current grow i started at 1/4th but i feed every watering ended up getting signs of too much nitrogen so had to cut it down to 1/8th and then eventually now i just feed water feed instead of feeding every watering.

another concept is if you ever made sushi before they will always tell you the same thing as "LESS is MORE" if you tried to roll sushi and stuffed it with a lot of ingredients you will know because it's very hard to roll and the more you smash the rice together via force the more the texture gets screwed up. it is REALLY easy to over feed them.
