Extending store bought grow tent

Hey there! Has anyone or anyone you know tried to extend the height of a commercial grow tent? I went with a tent that was around five and a half feet tall, but that no longer meets my needs. The width and depth are ok but I need a few more feet in height. I'm thinking about cutting the frame and raising it using something, then filling the gap with lol, something else. I'm too broke to buy a taller tent so I was hoping one of our members has any suggestions. Thanks in advance!

You might be ale to find copper pipe same dimensions and then buy some light proof fabric.
But you will need it to be strong, the fabric helps give the tent its rigidity.
I lost some corners from my old tent, had to buy some universal corners which lost me an inch in height, the tent just flopped over and had to be supported in all ways. Luckily I remembered where I had stored the corners.

Think I would be inclined to check ebay, craigslist or grow stores for second hand tent, because by the time you've pissed about buying strong enough fabric and copper lengths its probably going to add up.

Thanks. That was my first thought, but I drink a lot of beer and that would cut down on any new purchase.

thanks for the posts. I kinda figured it would be a pain in the ass. Time tpo save a few bucks. Maybe cut down on beer. Naa just kidding bout the beer
