DWC question

I have grown many things for many years and do well in soil. I have never done any Hydro and want to try 1 or 2 in DWC my next grow so I have a few questions

I am height limited in my grow space to Medium size plants A full size 5 gallon bucket cuts into my vertical grow area to much for me to use so here are my 2 question

I want to try DWC with a three gallon bucket, what is the Minimum height from the bottom to the top of the bucket that will work

Is their a positives side to growing 4 plants in a rubber maid tub over 4 plants in individual buckets?( besides the obvious that you only have 1 solution to take care of) It seems that a beginner (new to hydro not growing) would want individual buckets so if I screw up its only one plant and not all. Any impute on this will help, personal experience preferred.

I have a PPM pen and a PH pen with 1000ppm cal solution and 7.0PH cal solution

What is a good Hydro fert to use, for veg and flower?

Thanks in advance.

There is no min height but a 3 gal bucket will only hold maybe 2 gal of water. Def have one plant in one container - it allows you to move them and raise them to different heights. I have great success with Humboldt Master A&B

ps you can calibrate just fine with distilled or ro water which is 7.0

Another question for anyone, is their a "Right" or "Commen" size Net pot to use. Like 3,4 or 5 inches.

I use 6 inch, its all preference. It really doesnt matter just depends how big your plants are gonna get.. 3-6 inches are fine.

Thanks for the info and Great Handle ( name). I have used it for years in Gaming along with Misty Beaver for Girl charters.

ok i do dwv and have been doing it for a few yeaRS NOW. DONT GO WITH 3 IN POTS IF YOU PLAN ON GETTING OVER 2 FOOT TALL. THERES JUST NOT ENOUGH SURFACE TO HOLD YOUR LADY UP. ALSO THEY ARE PRONE TO FALLING THROUGH THE BUCKET WITH WEIGHT.I USE 5.5 POTS. I COULD HONESTLY USE BIGGER just noticed the caps was on my bad. also general hydropnics flora makes a very stable nutrient system that does it job. easy breezy. i have 3 gallon buckets for veg, but i went to 5 gallon buckets for flower. my veg room is small though. root space is important in growth and flower.
