You're talking full power like 1600mA for the 304 or 3000mA for the 288? Open air or reflective walls? I can test this.

4 qbs would of course be golden. But pricey for someone starting out, especially with international shipping and customs.

Led gardener: i would be happy with either qb288 or 304 at max amp. Diifference should be a wash. But im planning on running them on bigger heatsinks in order to get around 40 degrees tc. And yeah reflective tent.

One 250 kit would do ok in a 3x3 actually. As long as you practice good canopy management (Scrog/Sog preferable) you will be good to go with that setup.

So essentially 30 watts per square foot is good enough bloom coverage with QB's? Always
heard standard of 50 watts per square on COB's, other, etc.

Thanks for helping out. The way i figure it ill go with something similar to the 250 kit, but sourcing som beefier heatsinks locally, leaving some space to smack some cobs on the sides. Or maybe some some light strips for spread.
When will you do some 90 cri qbs for us mere mortals? Ive seen them around riu but never for sale. The qb120 for supplemental 90 cri would be great, especially if you could fix it so they would have the same max amp so you could connect all ur qbs in series. Thx again

30 watts per square ft is perfectly fine for QBs and higher efficiency COB setups. @captainmorgan has been running at those wattages for a while now. That 250 kit will be ~650 umol in that space. It will be roughly 775 PPFD before wall losses.

Finally got my new set up squared away. Excited to see how the HPS and Quantums perform together. The big plant on the left is White Widow by Dinafem, one on right is THSeeds Mother of Berries, and the center one is a GSC cross of some kind (I think with Green Crack). Just waiting on them to bounce back from an under-watering before I flip to flower.

I love how the LEDs make the HPS look like it is dimmed. People never get how bright LEDs are until they start using them.

Well HLG I have just been doing a trim of the first run with my quantum boards. Very impressed with the outcome.
I have not posted any cola shots, my bad, I was slightly ashamed that I didn't listen to someones advice regarding distance from canopy and the result was some light burn on my fan leaves. After trimming I can say there was zero bud damage though.
Will post some pics of the dried buds when ready. I'm very happy with the density and tones of the buds. Very happy indeed!

@coreywebster if I had of listened to some of the vagina's on here about power and distance to canopy none of my qb grows would of made it. Glad you got harvesting done, you should be pleased with the quality.

QB light, Alien vs Triangle:

The smaller plant sprouted 7 days after the others, found the sprout when I was about to dump the pot! She's doing very well for a late starter!

I love the color my plants take with this nutrient. I use Growmore Seagrow, a seaweed based, 95% organic, soluble nutrient. I know I've hit the right ppm for a strain when they get this color. Must be something in the seaweed.

You won't be able to add a 3rd board on the 250W kit. Because boards are in series on that driver.

We have been thinking about a 350w kit with 320h 4 boards on slate 4.

First I just want to thank you for the lights!! They arrived in my city on friday but I missed the delivery guy so I didn't get them until today. The suspense and excitement was a bit much to wait all of Friday, the weekend and a Holiday monday, but that they way it is where I live. You guys rock, packaging was snug and discrete.

I wanted to get back to my question about having 3 boards in series on the XL kit. I thought that it might have to do with the 304 vs 288 but I see you had also specified that the driver could not support the 3rd board.

So my question is, what driver would be requied to add a 3rd board in series and fill the XL plate? My concern is that the 2 XL kits might not have enough juice in a 4x4.

I believe it was LED Gardener who said the the 288 are more versatile as you can run more in series where as the 304 I think he said max out at 2....

I am just curious as I will be flowering in a month or so and I don't want sell LED short or waist 9 weeks. Again, I appologize if this is obvious to everyone, but I am still fumbling my way around the LED world. FTR I run a scrog in case that helps.

Maybe supplement with some cobs? I should have spent more time looking into this but those 250 kits started to move so I bought without fully considering my space. I kept hearing g how hard it is to get the boards so I jumped.

Can suggest you make a square heat sink for 2 boards as well as a rectangular one?

Us early LED adopters noticed that Canna plants want more Cal/Mag under LEDs.

Combos for 3 boards on slate 3.
3x QB 304 in parallel on HLG-240H-C2100A

I think you will get a better spread with 2 boards on XL.

You wont be wasting 9 weeks with 2x XL kits in 4x4.. It will be enough juice and spread for 4x4.
