Diy water chiller idea

I have been going over and over things, refining my system and getting what I can when I can. I have heard ideas about water chillers, I do plan on actually getting one when the money is right like I have been doing, I have heard about getting a mini-fridge and running a hose and a pump and blah blah we know where this goes. I recently inherited a mini-fridge from a fucked up roommate who bounced and nobody has heard from since, so....mine. I was wondering, would it be OK, or better, or more economically viable or whatever, just I had an idea and I'd like some input, what if instead of a hose coiled up and shoved in there I just filled it with water and sealed it up real good? Let it up in the little freezer part as well? Would that be fine you think or is there something I may be overlooking? Want as much knowledge as possible before committing to any holes drilled

Without t be pump running, it'll cool it to 53°-58°f. With the pump running it run around 63°-68°.

You cut the outside of the beer cooler for the engine to fit. You use a step drill bit to drill the hole in the inside liner. The white stuff.

10-12 gallon beer coolers are cheap~ cheapy. The cooler is high dollar.

Yeah but that's a little above my budget at the moment. I'm working with what I have. Like I said I'm going to upgrade soon as I can. I been getting better all the time. This is just a in the meantime thing. Fridge sitting here ain't doin shit thought may as well use it
Run the tubing through a frozen block or big pot of water. Hook up the ice tray. Pack the fridge with ice.

Buy some copper tubing and do a moonshiners coil. All you can to get the fridge to cool the water.

Yeah I been hearing about using coolers instead of these totes or whatnot, but I been trying to find ways to keep shit cool. I have some buckets running. I hear you can insulate them? I hope this is right. There was a roll of that pink house insulation in the garage when I moved in here. I was trying to do some research to see if that would be OK but haven't came up with anything

One thing holds true. It's expensive. You can do what you want. Latest greatest insulation to the buckets. All the things you need to mimic an ice chest and cooler.

The money sucks but if you don't want to stress over res temps. Break down and spend the money.

Yeah, I did that last time, I had actually gotten some weird bugs in my roots and root rot. I ran out got some hydrogaurd and used some h2o2 and fixed it. I started using the frozen water bottle teqniqe after that and never had that problem again. Everything turned out cool. I'm home all day so tending to the garden isn't a problem it's just that microwave burritos and frozen pizzas are the the shit and my freezer is small. I have 6 buckets and I don't think the freezer in the mini fridge would freeze things the size I need in the time it takes lol

How many buckets are you trying to keep cool?
I have 6 buckets. I was gonna run out and get some pvc and those things nessacary to make it to a rdwc. I just wanted to get everything for converting straight before I actually do it. I just dished out some money for seeds and a good light finally. My air pump been confusing the fuck outta me but that's a different story

You can't rush this. Cooling water. Cannabis. The talk of it all.

We're on the level of the $5 crunch box from Taco Bell. Don't think I'm not stealing the fuck out the hot sauce packets. This shit is real. Pony up fuckers.
