You could do that. I use coconut oil instead of butter, but turn most of my old bud and trim into edibles.
But no reason you can't smoke you flowers. And change it up and smoke something else for a couple of weeks. Going back to the WW after that will surprise you.

I have no idea about edibles, I just started growing at the end of last year and never have had large amounts to do anything with. Now that I'm finishing up my 3rd indoor grow and have some just about flowering outside I will have plenty to start experimenting with. I like the idea of a tea, have a cup at night and nod off to sleep but I'm not sure how to make anything, yet. My mom is against drugs but she tells me she is up all night with horrible sleep, I think I can get her to try some tea if I make it, she will def not smoke it.

It's pretty easy. You decarb in the oven 50 minutes at 225F. Then a few hours in a crockpot with your butter or coconut oil. We use 4 ounces of bud or trim with 16 ounces of coconut oil. I use about an ounce of that with a cake mix. But you could put a few drops in any food or drink.

I make lots of edibles by infusing butter with herb or recently concentrates, but just recently tried to figure out tea. I am gonna experiment more, my first attempt was not a success. Hopefully others will have some input on it. I was considering making an infused candie that maybe I could disolve in the tea.
Coconut oil capsules could possibly be a good option. I will say start with a low dose. I have had people get turned off to edibles completely because they ate too much the first time.

Also make sure you don't smoke anything until at least an hour after you consume the edible. I've got too high from doing this, and it lasts a long time.

Nice. I didn't know you were experimenting with edibles. I have a little, but want to get into it a little more. Glad to hear there's something else you can teach me about, haha. And that Rob guy is a fool. He's always saying something stupid, and I just laugh when he posts. I just hope the new members realize and don't take his advice.

I've been making edibles for years. It's a great way to use the left overs. Usually I make qwiso and then turn that into whatever I want to make basically.

I've been making butter or coconut oil with my ABV buds, (already been vaped from my Silver Surfer), and have made concentrates with Everclear, but need to learn more. I was going to try what I want to say is vegetable glycerin next time. I don't even know what qwiso is, haha. I will definitely be checking it out and looking more into the Edible section, keeping an eye out for your posts.

QWISO is -quick washed iso alcohol extracted concentrates
There is a tutorial in my signature line on how I make mine. It creates a fast clean concentrate that I can smoke, or I can use it in edibles so the edibles don't taste like weed.

I grew that white widow out.. a freebie... I am going to grow this shit back out... str8 fire... next time listen to theses guys... hold off don’t chop and be patient... when I wanted to chop it they advised against... waited 2 more weeks and things changed... and that was under blurples... can’t wait to 315 her next go round...I hope this SEED is as good as the last one.. cloning anyway!!!

Great job!! Gives me much to look forward to. Mine is auto flower so I’m lowering my expectations for potency but it should be better if harvested later. Most definitely I will listen to these guys. They are a wealth of knowledge and very easy going.
