Hey folks, just want to give everyone notice. The first meeting of the Greater Lansing Compassionate Care Club will be the Wednesday @ 700 W. Barnes Ave. Lansing Michigan. Meet and Greet starts at 6:00, Meeting at 7:00, refresment at 8:30.
We will have a pre-registration form on our www.MichiganMedicalMarijuana.org website. I will be the facilitator for te meeting hosted by HYdroworld Hydro shop, the new shop in town. I am looking forward to working with Danny Trevino the owner, to help grow his business and our arganization.
We had the first meeting with the Michigan Department of Community Health and basically told them they are not going to make any rules that contradict what is now State Law. Ed Rosenthal stopped by our forum yesterday, called and asked our founder if it would be ok, I think it took a second for Greg to Shout hell yes you can. It was really nice to see one of the Heavy hitters from another State posting there. Hope some of you can make it,
We will cover a brief History of Marijuana Laws and then explain exactly where we are now, and were we intend to go from here.
I stopped by Danny's growing class and Thursday, and spent some time answering questions. And maybe have a hot dog or 2 afterwards. VV:hug:

If you live in Michigan check out the 3C in your area. The new Administrative rules are out and it is apparent to everyone in State Government now, that this Ballot Initiative that they labeled 'poorly written' is in fact a carefully worded, excellently written and executed plan to take Medical Marijuana Patients and their caregivers off the battle field.
We want to make sure the Folks at MarijuanaPolicyProject (MPP) know how much we appreciate what they have done.
The Attorney General, Mike Cox, reviewed these rules, he and Leo wanted direct access to the list of patients and caregivers. NO mention of any such device, the law States that the MDCH will verify, and if anyone from their violates the patients right's they will be held responsible.
The MDCH has stated the had to learn to look at protecting patients. They didn't understand their role before the hearing. I think they understand it now. They clarified a question asked by Matt Abel, our NORML Attorney, yes you can be a Patient and a Caregiver which would mean a 72 plant limit if you have 5 patients and you are a patient too.
I consider this a total LEGAL VICTORY. Now we have to get our grows on. Just tell em VV Sent ya. :bigjoint:

good job VV.i know its alot of hard work too.
Not for me. Putting on a meeting is the easy part. There have been some bumps in the road, nothing we can't handle. We have gotten some key elements in place, Doctors are looking for information, a clinic is open in Southfield, the THC-Foundation, and they are seeing about 35 patients a day the 2 days they are here now. Several folks have received the necessary certification from their own Physicians.
And Law Enforcement has stated they do not want anything to do with Medical Marijuana at the State Police Level, just verification.
If you live in Michigan you need to attend. VV
