Basically a plastic casing with dirt in it around the area you cut the bark off. Its under shopping when you search air layering.

Something to keep in mind, is that many fruit trees are grafted to other smaller dwarf variety types of root stocks, to keep them smaller and maneagable. If you marcot/AL the branches off such a tree, you will be cloning the original tree and it could end up being 10 times bigger than what you though you were cloning..

look at the right hand colum, "you may also like" should cover you on soft and hardwood cuttings

Air layering is straightforward enough do.

I used root it plugs and clonex but rock wool, moss or coco works fine to.

Cut free and potted after 2 weeks iirc.

It was lost in transit for 10/11 days it was barely clinging to life but i nursed it back to health.

And air layered that new plant from it.

Strangle before or after the air layer. I'm guessing before. I think I see it now
